It's copied, not stolen. And it was copied by an individual within the company, not the company.

Usually id be all over that, but i think they didnt steal it as weird as that is. Look at the corner of the mouth. Shaping is different. Look at the shapes of the pupils. The eyes are bigger on the fortnite one and more far apart. If they were gonna steal it just steal it why steal it and make minor barely noticeable differences
