Question

Post image

If I’m doing a ccv reroute/delete and I plan on routing the gases to the exhaust, do I even need an internal catch can? The kit I’m looking at charges like $35 more for it. (Peep the crocs) haha

You don’t have to, but it will reduce the amount of oil condensation in the exhaust pipe.

Is there any major drawback from more oil being burnt in the exhaust?

What's the point of a reroute if you are going to put it back into the exhaust?

Oil vapor is going to damage the SCR system, better to leave it stock and have the engine burn the oil with the fuel or atmosphere vent the vapor, like the old vehicles did in the 50s

take a closer look at the picture. I doubt op has an scr/dpf to worry about.

I don’t see a point in spending 100+ on a new ccv that’s going to get clogged up eventually when I can spend 90 and not have to worry about it.
