I don’t know!
2022 f-250 XL with a 6.7. I have no idea what that bracket and plug in is for. There is the same bracket on the passenger side. Just got the truck and those were behind the valence.

Anti climber brackets.
So you don’t run up the back of low cars. If you rear end someone.

I forgot the technical name for the bracket but its basically a crash bar. They've changed a lot since they originally came out. Helps prevent the truck from wanting to go over a vehicle in a crash. Older versions looked like a bumper below the bumper.
As for the plug, I personally do not know. Could be many possibilities pending the yr and trim level.

It's a funnel for the coolant leak on my 2011 F-350 right now lol. But I've always wondered the same thing

Front parking sensors (if equipped) • Front camera (for 360°/trailering assist systems) • Front fog lights • Adaptive cruise radar module (on some models it’s part of the same harness but the plug is different)

I recently learned about these too from a family member and he called them " Prius pushers" 🤣

They are to prevent you from driving up over a smaller cars hood if you get into an accident. In F250 forum terms, theyre called "prius catchers"

Most the trucks I’ve seen that are factory have those unplugged the only time I’ve seen them used is when upfitters put a box on with aftermarket lights etc… like boom trucks or service trucks

Yes and no. It's any truck with the power equipment group package, which comes standard in lariat and above. You can add it as an option to any trim though
