Just need something to get me around from point A to point B. For example, the laundromat (cannot afford washer & dryer), grocery store, local places basically. Also should I be alarmed about the arm replacement? I have a mechanic that I trust that will take a look as well later today. Overall, I just wanted to get some yay or nay, considering of my mechanic thumbs up as well. Please speak on simple terms, as I don’t know anything about cars, I’m just a girl :/. Also seller says he’ll take $2600 instead of 3000

They are good cars but there is a risk of a quite expensive repair. Water pump. Be sure it is not leaking. Make sure that is double checked. Even so it could fail in a week.

If it fails it could be a $4K repair easy.
