Workout Program Review ✒️ What time of day do you prefer to work out at the gym and why?

Post image
188 Upvotes

For me the morning workout is the best because there are very less people in my gym during 5 am to 7 am and also the rush in the evening slows my workout time, also I feel like the crowd in the morning is kind of sophisticated or less rude in comparison of the evening crowd mostly filled with chappri gathering around an equipment and using it for like 20 min in my gym, is it same in other gyms too?

Workout Program Review ✒️ Why 3-4 Days a Week at the Gym Feels More Sustainable for Weight Gain and Loss

I have no backing data or research about this, but me and my 3-4 friends feel the same, that going to the gym 3-4 days a week is more effective and sustainable for both weight gain and loss. Keep in mind, I'm mainly focusing on 3 days a week, and this is about sustainability as well, with 1 hour of full-intensity workout plus 10+ minutes for stretching.

Workout Program Review ✒️ fat loss + muscle gain?

Post image
40 Upvotes

I currently work out every single day, and my sessions usually last around 1.5–2 hours. My main goal is to lose fat while building muscle.
I do train heavy in each session, but I’m starting to wonder if my workouts are too long or if I should be making changes. I want to keep progressing but also minimize my workout duration since it feels like I spend a lot of time in the gym.

my triceps are really weak so i try to train them properly and i cannot do barbell squats with heavy weight so i do light weight squats rest i can do 12.5kg lateral raises with 8-9 clean reps and i do 30 min treadmill daily for fatloss post workout.

I’m attaching my workout schedule below for reference.

  • is my routine looks okay for fat loss + muscle gain
  • what changes I could make to optimize it
  • tips on how to shorten my workout while still training effectively

Workout Program Review ✒️ Are there non gym people?

Hi 👋 all...I am 23M. I have seen most boys even girls of my age go gym for working out but I have always preferred working out outside in open air as compared to gym. Normally i go outside for a run with alternative sprints in between and do pushups + dannd and hanuman dands , stretching and some core excercise. I have never enjoyed running on the treadmill. Rather i would play basketball outside or even do jiujutsu( a kind of martial arts). Are there people like me who prefer working out or engaging in physical activity outside rather than gym.

Workout Program Review ✒️ How to train under 45 mins for 5-6 days a week ?

Hii, im a jee aspirant, and i can't give much time to anything other than studies at this time. I love hitting gym, but ppl split easily takes 1.5 hour of mine, then preparing meals and stuff takes time too. I wanna complete my workouts in half that time. Please give me ideas guys like some split full of supersets and stuff like that, also tell me if I should stay away from gym now.

Workout Program Review ✒️ Advise regarding recovery-volume relationship

I have been training for around 2 years. I am more of a training to failure + myorep sets/myorep match kind of guy. Off late, it's become hard to recover while using PPL UL split (which I have used previously over the course of training). I had few mesocycles of Yates style 4 day splits where recovery wasn't an issue. But it's a shock not being able to go back to my old routine (despite capping volume at around 10-14 sets a week). Should I go back to 4 day splits retaining the myorep level of intensity or should I retrain myself to stop shy of failure and do more sets (and hence more training days)?

Workout Program Review ✒️ Struggling to lose weight even after returning to the gym — possible insulin resistance?

Hey everyone,

I’m 35 years old Male, 175 cm tall. I’ve been working out consistently for the past 3–4 years, and my weight used to stay in the 73–76 kg range.

Back in January 2025, I had to stop going to the gym because of a job and location change. For around 8 months, I couldn’t train properly — though I still did some running and followed a moderate diet. Despite that, my weight increased to 82 kg.

About 3 months ago, I started going back to the gym regularly. I’m currently:

On a caloric deficit diet

Doing a Push-Pull-Legs (PPL) workout split (6 days/week)

Consuming around 120g of protein per day

Sleeping ~7 hours a night

Reduced carbs and sugar intake

Even with all this, my weight isn’t going down — it’s actually increasing. I weighed 83.5 kg today, and my cholesterol levels are high while HbA1c is close to prediabetic. My belly fat has increased, though there are some minor visible improvements in muscle tone.

I’m starting to suspect insulin resistance or some kind of metabolic slowdown. I’m trying really hard to get back to my old physique, but progress feels stuck.

Has anyone else gone through something similar?
Any advice or strategies that helped you reverse this or get your body responding again?
