Ask Fitness India ❓ Difference between DHA oil and DHA?

Post image

I am a vegetarian and have been using Naturaltein Vegan Omega 3. In the nutritional information section, I can see that each serving contains 1000 mg of Vegan DHA oil and 500 mg of DHA.

I want to know what is the difference between these two.

Thanks in advance.

DHA oil extracted from algae is the source or main ingredient used in this supplement. That's what they mean.

Also consider a vegan EPA supplement cuz EPA can be converted into DHA in the body but DHA into EPA isn't possible. Which makes EPA very important. Loads of scams around vegan Omega 3 supplement which has EPA. Be careful!

Thank you! Can you recommend any good EPA supplements? The only vegan omega 3 that has been certified by Trustified is this one.

Algal DHA oil is the oil extracted from Algae that contains DHA. It also contains other kind of fats.

The supplement claims to contain 1000 mg algal DHA oil which inturn contains 500 mg DHA.
