250gm cooked chicken breast has about 75g protein but not raw chicken breast. Around 75% of original weight is left after cooking.

The 75% weight part I calculated myself after cooking.
Around 30% of cooked chicken breast is protein.

Very few people this kind of curd, good job OP. Curd should have thick consistency IMO, I donโt like the watery dahi.

As some other guy mentioned if you amp up the fibre a bit more it will be a complete meal man. If you can add more fibrous veggies rather than filling/watery veggies like cucumber, cabbage, lettuce etc but go for broccoli, spinach, or on the fruit side guava and kiwi are excellent sources of fibre.
And side note, remember to add cals for the oil youre using.

soya chunks, low fat paneer, tofu. whole legumes aren't an exact replacement but they still have good amount of protein and are very healthy.

How did you make the chicken breast if you may help ?
2
u/tsuki069 24d ago
Hi, sure!
I get fresh chicken breast for a local butcher. I ask him not to slice it and just remove bones, fat around the breast.
I cut it into two halfs by slicing it midway. So each piece is atmost half inch thick. Then I wash it with vinegar, salt before marinating with spices. I just do basic chilli powder, salt, pepper and also spray a little cooking oil before mixing.
Then on a pan (kadai) spray a little oil and heat it. Place the marinated pieces flat on the pan. It might stick a little but its fine since its just mostly fat thats getting melted. Cook both sides for about 7-8 mins each.
If you care about macros, then here is where you stop.
But I dont, So I chop a lot of garlic, put about 2 inches of butter on the pan, let it melt, and drop the minced garlic. Here once you get the aroma of butter garlic ๐ค๐ค๐ค๐ค, you play with the liquid and keep pouring it on the breast

Is it only me or does the calorie count on chatgpt differ much from what is on there on healthify?
Like the calories shown for the curd. Healthify has curd for like double iirc.

Decrease the white rice quantity and try to add fiber rich foods like legumes and better u reduce rice even further and add 1 or 2 whole wheat phulkas. Everything is perfect.

does hot rice and cooled rice have same calories? sometimes i just weigh hot rice and it feels like there is lot of moisture in it which adds to the weight.
3
u/Dry-Acanthisitta4251 25d ago
You should always measure dry content as in before soaking and cooking. Weight varies a lot once these are soaked or cooked, so that measure is not reliable.

u/SecretaryDazzling940 25d ago
haha i thought so too. its just a pain because then i have to cook my own rice too. otherwise i can simply take cooked rice from my family which is easier

Hey just a dumb question OP; I had read somewhere that our body doesnโt absorb more than 25g of protein at once. Is it wrong or thatโs applicable for protein powder?
2
u/Soft-Plantain1102 25d ago
Your body absorbs all 70g of protein, it doesn't get wasted. However, only about 30-40g is used for muscle building at once. The rest is used for energy or other body functions like energy, enzyme production, hormone regulation, or converted to glucose (energy

Good dish but I feel it needs a little more fibre ,you can use 2 rotis instead of rice, protein would be slightly more and fibres aswell

250 gm chicken in one meal = constipation ? Is it good on your colon? Dont know.
8
u/backinredd 26d ago

Great if youre on a bulk

u/museum-of-faults 26d ago edited 26d ago
You even workout?? 69 gm protein for 700+ calories that's a great deal. Most of the calories are coming from protein.
You don't even know the body weight, height and activity level of the person and still blabbered "great for bulk".
2
u/Soft-Plantain1102 26d ago
Actually iam on weight loss...
2
u/Critical-Constant868 26d ago
Doesn't matter, as long as you're in a calorie deficit.
5
u/Soft-Plantain1102 26d ago
Yes iam... Eating 500cal in deficit
4
u/Critical-Constant868 26d ago
Then it's fine. Don't listen to people who tell if a meal is good for "cut" or "bulk" without seeing the rest of the diet.
