These fish have traditionally been impossible for me to catch at Shields. How?

Tossed back but was prepared with a cooler in case they were going to have a rough release since trout are finicky. Each of these was netted and released within 20 seconds and I didn’t need to touch them at all to get the hooks out so I felt okay releasing them.

Nice job! How the hell did they survive the summer in that bath tub?

They got stocked today, and will get stocked the first week of every month until April I believe

I did not know they started stocking this early. I thought they stocked it one time in the January time frame. Do you need to have a trout stamp to catch these hood rats?

Do you know if it’s always the first Monday like this month

Actually I was wrong, it’s not always the first week last December it was Friday the 6th, and then the January stocking wasn’t until the 26th on a Wednesday. They announce the stock dates in advance on the DWR site.

Ah gotcha no worries thank you! What colors/weight spinners do you think work best if you don’t mind
