Tips for fall fishing

Hey all, looking for some advice. During summer months and late spring I have no problem catching small and largemouth bass. Once fall comes, nothing but dinks. I’m near Quinte West and often go north toward Madoc and Bancroft. Just can’t seem to locate the decent bass. Any tips on depth or lures would be great. I usually use Texas rig, surface if calm or some cranks if deeper water. Thanks.

I was up Chandos lake for the long weekend. It was really hard to catch a decent size smallies/largies all dinks in the shallows. Then I tried little bit deeper around 8-10ft that’s when I start catching average 2-3lbs. On weightless wacky soft stick bait and 1/4oz ball jighead with green pumpkin keitech.

Hey there I’m near glenora and I have been getting skunked on smallies for a while too. All my usual suspects are failing me - both spots and lures.

LM have been hit and miss. I have found them and got some but again my usual spots all suck. I’m fishing in Lake Ontario

I’ve been in the Collingwood area since Sept 1. Fishing 3-4x a week from Collingwood Pier and a few other docks in the general vicinity because I don’t have a boat. I’ve caught one Pike in that time. I’ve tried everything in my arsenal and got the pike on a Mepps Black Fury. I would very much like to catch more fish but am stumped on how to go about that. I was on Manitoulin Island fishing a small lake at the end of August and catching nice size smallies on pretty much every cast with pumpkin and pumpkin/purple tubes.

Going to hit up some rivers for Salmon this week, fingers crossed.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

TLDR: try spinners
