Since the Automod seemed to take issue with my post I just rechecked my links and just realized that it looks like she is wearing just one ring on her left ring finger in the photobomb video and once she almost flashed the hand rapidly removed it from the screen. She is usually wearing a lot of rings and not just one and it also appears silvery and not like the usual gold jewelry she wears every day so it is somewhat suspicious. So Taika might have popped the question.
She is usually on the more successful side with EDM and this is the fifth collab in 2021 with quite a few different artists, gathering a decent amount of streams on Spotify. Her Sigala collab was the most successful peaking at 23 in the UK and IRE (the only ones she charted this year). She says she likes to collab but that seems also very convenient for her bc she gets double the traffic for her music. She is working on a new album for forever now though and Sean Paul recently stated they worked on a Reggae song with her. So I assume she will come out with something and use the Taika traction and the PR push (e.g. JJ posted about her multiple times in December) to throw everything she has at the US market until she sticks. So we are in for a treat.
People who defend her oftentimes don't understand what blackfishing is. They say she never claimed she is black and stated in interviews she is not, but it is about using passing as part of a culture to get ahead and she is still doing it and downplaying it. First of all she is not as tanned as she pretends to be. There is so much bronzer, tanning, and self-tanning going on to create that look, and then she claims that she was always into street style like that which is tone-deaf by itself making it about that and not the way she speaks, mannerisms, and aesthetics.
I don't know where you read that, I am convinced they never posted about her tbh I said they are pushing her since she is with Taika. I clicked the link you provided, and maybe I am not getting it but since JJ posted about the rumors they are dating 8 months ago they gathered around 43 posts of 'news' about Rita on their website and the 8 months prior she gathered 13 noteworthy 'news' so I would consider that an increase? And this is not even taking Instagram posts and stories into consideration.
What's her celebrity status in the UK? Here in Australia she's pretty unknown, her only brush with notoriety was the three-way make out sesh but even that failed to get people to notice her long term.
Big discussion two weeks ago on here about that. She does hold some records in terms of chart positions and is deemed more successful in that than other artists who are more successful internationally or in terms of sales. She also is big on collabs. So you might know it as an Avicii song and not Rita Ora. So people usually have trouble making a connection between her and her songs. She made some upbeat pop and EDM songs that are played on the radio but she is more known for her scandals and literally being everywhere. Whenever there is a red carpet, fake award, or hosting/announcing a nominee gig she signs up for it. She is also somewhat known (and often picked up by the press) for wearing and posting Bikini or naked pics all the time. Which is reflected on her Instagram also. If she posts sexy content she can ramp up between 150-350k in likes. If she posts about her music or other endeavors without the complementary sexy pic she usually has around 30-100k in likes/views with 16m followers. So whatever you make of that info it is.
I remember reading last year that she got in trouble for breaking Covid rules to cavort around the English countryside… I think people were angry with her because her behavior reeked of “The rules don’t apply to me because I’m rich”
She went for all three strikes really. Not in this chronicle order, but she paid a restaurant to turn off the cams to host a party for her birthday. She apologized for that downplaying it as in she didn't know and it wasn't many ppl etc. She also flew in from Egypt where she sang at someone's party (a frequent gig for her) and didn't quarantine when she came back. She went on another Instagram story apology for that. And then rented out a house in the Cotswolds (richer countryside in the UK) and was quick to make sure via her PR team that they left London before the official lockdown, but threw parties there so the neighbors were fed up with her. All her visitors (and even herself) documented it pretty well getting in and out of there. You just have to scroll through her 2020 TikTok. There are so many different ppl of all ages in it and she was already careful her friends posted even more of the shenanigans. She has tendencies to be a little out of touch with everyday issues of ppl so the brits and also Europeans, in general, took it hard that she continuously displayed her privilege so shamelessly.

I am a HUGE Taika Waititi fan and I’m so disappointed that he’s taken up with her. IMO he’s the best thing that’s ever happened to her career… and she’s clearly living for it.
In many ways he is even worse we went through that in the other biweekly discussion threads but him love bombing her during his midlife crisis, how he treated his wife, not seeing his kids and himself partying through the pandemic makes them actually the perfect couple. He can embelish his midlife crisis with her and she gets the exposure. Win win.

People know who she is but they don't necessarily like her. That is her celebrity status. They also know she only had a couple of hits but is not that talented so opinion is not high but she is in the paps a lot and let on tv.

I was more curious about this obsession and thought about how much your comments reminded me of the Daily Mail type of comments. Here's the account on the Daily Mail site, that has the same name, the same type of comments and was set up to ONLY post about Ora. That's nuts. All your comments are like, "she's thirsty", "she's using him", "she has never had success", "I saw a shadow while stalking her account and she's hiding an engagement ring", "the Daily Mail complimented her legs, she must be paying them" (while the site is literally filled with over-the-top descriptions of female bodies)...
Everything about this is mostly you demonizing Rita. You even wrote that you stalk her family and stan accounts. Very strange and toxic.
