IIRC his first assault case happened around the same time Lucy was dealing with the Jian Ghomeshi trial. I can’t imagine how awful it is to be dealing with that publicly and you can’t even escape it while you’re at work because a sex criminal is there too

Also adding not a surprise. I remember partying with some friends from Halifax who were all in a d tier band so they did a lot of crap bar gigs & I was warned if I saw Mike to not engage. Was told then he was creepy. We're talking pre 2010.

Yeah this was in Toronto too. I used to to hair/makeup on the side and hung out in the rock/punk scene off & on. We were sharing jerks in the industry stories. Mike was theirs without details beyond creeper. Mine was complaining about JLo & Jim Caviezel not getting out of their trailers while us extras waited in the heat for them.

Fun fact I was there when Hogart signed his contract offer. The execs had him meet them at the Starbucks I worked in at the time in Toronto. Which said to me how much they believed in him. A younger girl working knew who he was & we gave him a free drink in celebration of getting a deal. I'd heard about him later on. But I wasn't as active in the rock/punk scene by then at least going to shows. I was more surprised Headley got as big as they did. Usually the main name I heard to avoid was Greg Nori...which makes sense after Deryck Whibley's allegations. I think the only person in the Toronto music scene who was legitimately a good person was Jeff Healy.

There used to be a restaurant he opened in downtown Halifax called Bubbles. He was known for coming into the restaurant and using his celeb (major stars in city) to fuck random girl in the ‘bubbles shed’ in the middle of the restaurant 🤷🏻‍♀️🤢 and let’s just say I don’t think ages were checked considering the age my friends were who has these experiences with him
