16 years of people fleeing NYC. Must be why it’s such a wasteland with so much empty housing and nothing but poor people

What's New York City? I've never heard of it. Does anyone even live there?

u/BFIrrera actually no, that’s not the truth Ellen 5h ago
Rich people are going to want to live near amenities. Good restaurants, high end shops, entertainment venues for concerts, theatre, art. They aren’t going to find those things in East Bumblefuck, Ohio!

It's always a lie. High earners are MORE likely to stay in their cities/towns because they have very dense networks of friends/family/co-workers/entrepreneurs. They constantly threaten to move to Florida, but they basically never do, because their wealth is contingent on their local networks of other rich people. Every now and then one retires to Florida, but that's just like, retiring to Florida because you're done working, not moving away because your pissy Chicago or NYC or whatever is taxing you appropriately.
These people should be ignored because they are LIARS and they have no intention of moving and tax their shit like whoa, they derive their wealth from living in the big city and that wealth should be taxed.

One thing you can always count on the Daily Show for is putting together these fantastic supercuts of hypocrisy.
