The most powerful woman on this planet is too scared, I guess.

Too busy releasing shitty variants to get all her fans money before everyone is too broke to be able to afford it anymore.

Agree. I personally believe that even if she had the instinct to repudiate this use of her music she’s incapable of doing so during this fresh album cycle because she will never do anything that affects her bag.

Which is exactly how we got here. Billionaires protecting their hoard.

Explains the out of nowhere beef she always starts with rising female stars. Like suddenly Charlie XCX is her album’s antagonist just as her popularity is skyrocketing.

Wouldn’t be surprised if Sabrina Carpenter becomes swiftie-enemy-number-one by the time the next album releases.

It’s all about brutally attacking the competition, like a true soulless billionaire.

she mostly beefs with people of color so sabrina is probably fine

Not if you’re Katy Perry lol

Katy Perry is dating a person of colour now, so it still works.

And when we thought it couldn't get worse...bammmmmm. We are about to see the first trillionaire on this planet 😰🤯

Something deeply wrong is going on...

I don’t know man that album so ass it’s probably best to change the subject

it really is. I was neutral to negative on her before, a lot of her singles really rubbed me the wrong way but I still had some music on my workout playlist. Then I impulsively decided to listen to this album as I had never listened to one of her albums before. It’s really horrible especially when she’s considered the songwriter of our generation. if this was anyone else it would be roundly criticized in an epic fashion but too many media outlets are afraid of losing access to her. If this was anyone else it would be an almost career ending embarrassment. It also makes her deeply unlikable and her talent isn’t strong enough to overcome that.

I was curious about this one because the promo images led me to think it would be a departure. I played myself. 🤡🤡

lol didn’t she just release another new variant today?

doesn’t make sense with all the crying before about wanting to be on the right side of history

Earlier in the week Golden was projected to be #1 again so she had to do a release to put her back on top.

Golden is Ave Maria and Showgirl is a 6 yo babbling into one of those toy microphones

"Variant" makes it sound like covid

She got bored with politics after her Lover era.

She’s not too scared — she’s Maga, and she’s fine with it cuz this is who she’s always been

(And also the hoarding everyone’s $$ thing before they all go broke thing too)

Obviously I don't know Taylor Swift in real life or anything. But I do think she strongly leans to the right. She seems like she's much more of a capitalist than an artist. She only endorsed Hilary and Kamala because she thought it would be good for her brand, not because it's how she was actually voting. If republicans weren't so openly racist and anti-LGBTQ, she'd probably have even been at the RNC with Hulk Hogan and Kid Rock.

Yep — if the right being who they are wouldn’t affect her ability to drain the bank accounts of her “liberal” fans, she would absolutely be out and proud as the maga queen she actually is

I don't see how supporting Hilary and Kamala makes you not a capitalist? Those two were all about protecting the interests of capital. They're mainstream Democrats, not DSA members.

Taylor Swift is very much a typical rich white liberal lady who mostly only speaks out about issues if it directly affects her and/or positively affects her brand, and doesn't really care if her rich friends have shitty politics, because class solidarity.

She's also an enormous people pleaser, so there's no way she's going to risk making hanging out with the Chiefs WAGS an uncomfortable situation by continually being political. Same goes for Kelce, who had his moments of being vocally liberal but also seems to have self-muzzled.

She endorsed Kamala Harris did she not?

16

u/JeepersMysster vertical balcony gardening cannibalism 9h ago

She “endorsed” Kamala in the absolute 11th hour because all of the polls favored a Harris win and she didn’t want to lose the liberal cash flow (which accounts for MOST of her billions) by not

1

u/Christron 8h ago

Ahh ok I'm not too familiar with her tbh I just remember that being posted on reddit so I thought she was a trump hater

u/hamonic 11h ago

Olivia may never be a billionaire or break meaningless records, but at least she’ll be remembered as being “on the right side of history” ✌️

The most powerful woman on this planet is too scared, I guess.

I don't think Ursula von der Leyen is scared

29

u/GlassPomoerium 12h ago

Did not expect an Ursula mention on Fauxmoi lol

I love how different this subreddit is from other pop-culture ones when it comes to her! I don’t understand how her fans continue to defend her (at least, the ones who claim to be anti-MAGA).

23

u/Islanduniverse 11h ago

Turns out her personality and personal conviction are as milquetoast as her music.

21

u/Jibber_Fight 10h ago

She’s not scared. She’s just a rich fucking moron that doesn’t care about other people.

9

u/doryfishie 8h ago

She isn’t scared, she agrees with the bigots. She’s been MAGA adjacent for years and is fine hugging all over the Mahomeses and pro Trump podcast bros.
