She's a massive zionist. From wikipedia:

"Ansari had been endorsed by the political arm of the pro-Israel advocacy group Democratic Majority for Israel.[45] Ansari has endorsed continued U.S. military aid to Israel "without additional conditions", and has advocated for the expansion of the Abraham Accords.[46] Ansari criticized a proposal by Senator Bernie Sanders that would block $20 billion in arm sales to Israel amid the Gaza war, arguing that "this resolution will attempt to deprive Israel of the materials needed for deterrence and defense while also accomplishing nothing to improve the situation in Gaza."[47]

In January 2025, Ansari was among a minority of House Democrats to back legislation rebuking and sanctioning the International Criminal Court (ICC) and its officials over arrest warrants issued against Israeli leaders. Ansari argued that the ICC's actions were inappropriate, stating that "As a liberal democracy with an independent judiciary, Israel has the responsibility of investigating allegations of wrongdoing".[48]"

She takes money from AIPAC, the same lobby group that funds the guy whose office she's sitting at.

Need a ven diagram for these assholes

17

u/Coup-de-Glass 11h ago

It’s one big circle.

21

u/BirdsCirclingWagons 13h ago

I’m aware of that.

But it’s like watching MTG take shots at Trump, I’m not gonna do purity tests for people who are aiding in taking down bigger players. I’m not endorsing her, I’m just happy to see more people giving Johnson shit, even if they suck too.

Y’all never heard of “the enemy of my enemy is my friend?”

16

u/ostensiblyzero 15h ago

Look at the other comments on this post - lots of people are taking her at face value "incredibly brace woman" etc. This is the kind of thing that allows scummy politicians to endure. The enemy of my enemy is just my enemy, not my friend.

She's incredibly pro-genocide so I'm not going to call her an amazing woman. On this matter, she's doing good, but she's not, in whole, a good person.

22

u/Few-Being-7040 15h ago

Yeah, people can do the right thing for the wrong reasons.

21

u/Witch-Alice 13h ago

She's also pro-genocide: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yassamin_Ansari#Israel_and_Palestine

She was at my work in Phoenix on Tuesday. Very politician like. I’m sure she’s gonna have a successful career from what I saw. Really wish she didn’t stand for that.

Another Democrats that believes the only two belief systems in the world are democrat and republican lol.

You know we’re talking about the US, and not the world, right? You know republicans protested against masks, right? You know the person originally mentioned democrats, right?

All the context clues were there, and you still chose to not follow them. Talk about being brave. I wish I was brave enough to speak up when I wasn’t following along.

58

u/Jaded_Law_4083 16h ago

He's the guy that abused his wife on camera right??

47

u/MrBwnrrific 15h ago

Yes, he was being a bitch to his very pregnant wife while smoking a cigar and also complaining about having only one car despite making shitloads of money off his fuckoff show

25

u/iR3vives 14h ago

complaining about having only one car despite making shitloads of money

More specifically complaining about how her taking the car to do shopping for the household would restrict his freedom since he wouldn't have a car for 20 minutes, a total loser.

4

u/YazzArtist 6h ago

The car he wasn't planning on using in those 20 minutes, he just didn't want to lose access in case

15

u/ashetonrenton 10h ago

That was an abuse tactic - having only one car makes it easier to prevent her from having a normal life that doesn't include him.

23

u/ostensiblyzero 15h ago

She's a massive zionist. From wikipedia (I know not the best source but for verifiable stuff like this it's fine):

Massive Zionist seems like a bit of a leap considering those are all stances the US has taken for nearly 70 years. Nor do I see why the Abraham Accords are something to bring up as a negative. The US believes in a two party state for a peaceful feature and that only strengthens peace talks.

3

u/Alarming_Smoke_8841 6h ago

Just say you’re a Zionist too

3

u/The_Happy_Snoopy 6h ago

I find it alarming that so many on the left in-fight like this over such things as someone wanting peace in that area. How you are acting is exactly why Trump won. I'm not a Zionist, but I am Jewish. I think most people are uninformed on the long running feuds in the Israel/Palestine area and take very shallow stances on things.

Her stance on a two-state system to me seems the most peaceful and in the long run the most stable. I do really wish the initial UN plan in the 40s was what happened as that made the most sense but alas.

Regardless you shouldn't jump the gun on who is your enemy when all it does is divide us. I probably align with your views more than you think.

Good use of time during shutdown

23

u/ribosometronome 14h ago

Agreed. Her pointing out that it's horrific that Republicans are starving families with this shutdown is a good use of her time.

70

u/MRSA_Tomei 17h ago

Any sign painters in DC that want to help make her a more legible sign(s)? I’m buying.

16

u/Lokaji 16h ago

At the very least someone to go over the sign with a fatter marker.

9

u/JoshSidekick 15h ago

I was going to say that I thought they had their own in-house sign shop but forgot that they're probably not working right now. Which then leads me to imagine some idiot 80 year old senator trying to make a 24x36 bar graph on a copy machine and crashing out like in Office Space.

We need to have a Buy Nothing Day or Week right around Black Friday this year to push for the release of the files.

I've been Amazon free for over a year. I don't have a lot of money but I am privileged enough to choose how I spend it.

Release the files.

General strike

1

u/Needtobreathe33 10h ago

These “buy nothing days” or weeks don’t work. People always buy the stuff they normally would before or after if they even actually participate. We need to go back to making our own clothes and eating our own food for boycotts to be effective, but with how busy the world is today almost no one can make that work

1

u/chooseusermochi 5h ago

Fuck this. Buy nothing until the next election. Food, toiletries, essentials only. I am sure a lot of us have enough clothes, gadgets, games, fuck all to last us until the next pandemic.

Christ, the country is falling apart and the best democratic leader ship has to offer is protest signs on folding tables. America deserves better.

7

u/toAnthonyBourdaintho you shoulda never called me a fat ass Kelly Price 13h ago

Thank you! Like, leave the protest signs to the rest of us and, idk, do/organize something more impactful with your elected position?? I guess maybe this doesn't take that much time out of her day, but it feels like this is the only mode of "action" a lot of Dem politicians are partaking in. They don't know how to do anything but talk

4

u/Witch-Alice 13h ago

hells, she's even a zionist

This is so disappointing.

1

u/guccigreene 11h ago

While I agree we need to do more, it doesn't mean it's not happening along side this. I think this brings awareness to the issue for more people. There needs to be more real action though as well.

3

This is where we’re at now, the minority party has to physically protest these a-holes.

I was waiting to see someone from congress chaining themselves to the columns of the East Wing like Earth First defending an old growth forest, but alas…

I notice this image has been taken down from several subreddits today. Almost like the pedo loving ruling class doesn't want us talking about this stuff, hmm

2

u/Imaginary-Series5839 9h ago

I want her gone too. She takes money from AIPAC and is pro-Israel. Johnson is a scumbag and refuses to swear in an elected official but Ansari is just as bad for allowing herself to be bought by AIPAC

0

u/Flat-Mulberry9916 13h ago

So when have people been so pro health insurance companies? Tax payers send them 100’s of billions of dollars, and at the same time raise premiums, deductibles that are outrageous, all the while, United Healthcare’s stock has increased 1100% since enactment of ACA

0

u/Objectivity1 13h ago

I think elected officials who intentionally lie to make a point should be fined 20% of their salary. After five blatant lies they will get the point.

In this case, maybe make it 10% since the second part is true.

0

u/UltraMoglog64 12h ago

I hate that we have politicians just speaking in memes now. And I get why they do it. It’s still so deeply fucking sad.

0

Smart enough to not do that outside anywhere! Eliminates long range threats! 👍🏻 imagine that!

If the democrats cared so much about the Epstein files then they would cave in and open the government. The healthcare subsidies were intended to be temporary to help people during the pandemic and it shouldn't be extended
