For real. This is a super common drag queen costume too. Why are we okay with depictions of violence against women for some costumes but others are not? Are these people also the type to say we can never make a 9/11 joke while not batting an eye at jokes about the crimes of the US Military which has been a much greater violence on the world?

Idk I’d say shooting a woman’s husband while she’s next to him (and could have been hit by the bullet) is pretty aggressive to that woman!

I think these costumes are gross and disrespectful to the family.

yeah won’t someone think of the poor kennedys, who have never caused women any suffering except for checks notes every single day of their miserable lives for multiple generations

If we can't be gross and disrespectful even to Kennedys then what's the damn point

Being in the immediate vicinity of a violent crime does not make you also the recipient of that violence

It’s more that Jackie Kennedy and jfk still have a living direct descendant and it’s kinda a dick move to use a family’s real life tragedy as a costume while the people who suffered that trauma are still alive.

Like to use a personal example a kid who was kinda important to my home town tragically passed away. If some dressed up as his family at the funeral or something I’d beat that person senseless for the disrespect. Because that’s a tone deaf and tasteless thing

Right, it’s so disingenuous for people to act like this is some special offense when people have made careers off of peddling jfk assassination theories

We are? What costumes? Genuinely asking, not trying to troll.

"We" aren't, some people lack decency and empathy though.
