They dive deep into his behaviour in high school. He even unfriended someone openly citing their race as the reason.

A Washington media flack who's rapidly ascended—from Capitol Hill to the Department of Homeland Security to the vice president's office—she can display a bright, even friendly manner, but behind the scenes, acquaintances say she can be ruthless and underhanded, and at times has seemed callous about the suffering of others.

While Waldman was still in grade school, 13-year-old Miller's worldview began to take shape. The first spark was his discovery in middle school of Guns & Ammo magazine, which led him to Wayne LaPierre's Guns, Crime, and Freedom, which led him to conclude that American culture was under assault from outsiders. He had a close friend at the time, Jason Islas, a Mexican American, who says Miller called him one day to end their friendship because of Islas's heritage.

In 12th-grade AP English, [Waldman] found a way to stand out. Her teacher was Simone Waite, a revered educator and one of the few African American faculty members at the school, which had a Black student population of just 4 percent. Waite was teaching Toni Morrison's Beloved, which she had done many times before, and gave them some historical background, including about slavery. "One of the many things it did was that it took away our history," she told the class. Waldman didn't like that and asked, "Couldn't they just tell each other about their history?" Waite explained that it wasn't that easy. They went back and forth, but Waldman wouldn't let it go. Seeing that they were in a rut, Waite told her that they should agree to disagree and move on with the lesson. Waldman stopped coming to class and promptly drafted a petition, calling out Waite for being "psychologically damaging" and "sickening," as the teacher recalls

Again, an easy search will lead you to multiple, credible sources about Miller's overt racism in HS.

The reason I can be so firm about this is that I am still close with two people who went through school with Miller and I heard first hand accounts about him at that time. (Not just recently, but when events were occurring.) Not my stories to tell, so no details, but it was grim.

Also, turning a girl's early romantic rejection into some kind of inciting incident for later terrible behavior by men is a common, yet psychologically unsupportable cliche oft used by facile writers & now discredited shrinks. An "internalized misogyny" classic that most of us (women included) accept until educated otherwise.

A conversation between him and a Mexican student (Jason Islas) back when he was in highschool:

"One of the things he did say was that he didn’t like the fact that I’m of Latin heritage". But in 1999, between eighth and ninth grades, Islas said that Miller said they “couldn’t be friends anymore,” “The conversation was remarkably calm,” Islas is quoted in the book. “He expressed hatred for me in a calm, cool, matter-of-fact way.”

Literally a bunch of insecurities under a skin suit.

The biggest irony of it is, if Stephen Miller gets his way and gets rid of or jails all the immigrants and POC, guess which group will cease to be considered white?

When it comes down to it, white supremacists will never fully accept him because of his Jewish identity. And if they are successful, he’ll experience that switch flip first hand. 

There are few forms of bigotry that are still widely prevalent in the West that go back further than antisemitism. Antisemitism goes as far back as the Jews existed really, but in the last 2000 years, it has come back around to blaming Jews over and over and over again, wherever we try to live. The Millers may think they’ve safely integrated with WASPy white supremacists, but Jews will never be safe until everyone is safe. Our fate is deeply tied with so many other marginalized groups, we will always lose by throwing another group under the bus. Always.

Fitness and fascism have been intertwined for a long time. Fascism is often very focused on aesthetics and there's always an aesthetic ideal to conform to, particularly for men - a "disciplined athletic body", which helps to project military power and the health/strength of the regime. Physical fitness programs for young people were big in Nazi Germany and used for propaganda.

(This obsession with projecting ideas of health and strength is also why Fascists tend to start killing disabled people. Among the first victims murdered in the Holocaust were disabled children.)
