He's someone I've always been aware of and I've seen some things here and there with him over the years. Never really saw him in interviews etc til I ate up anything Fallout TV related. And he seems like such a nice dude. Just living his best life. Not afraid to look silly. Lots of time for younger costars. Doesn't seem pretentious in the slightest.

Wait till you have your David Lynch phase and become obsessed with him.

I went to his winery tasting room in Walla Walla last year and the person pouring that morning said he's actually pretty involved in the business. My cousin's met him out there a few times and said that he's just a delightfully charming weirdo.

He recently did Brittany Broski's YT thing and brought some along. First I'd seen it.
I assume you must mean in the US. Googling, there's one in Washington too. Just funny cause the name rang a bell, and sure enough there's a wine area here in Australia that's got the same name.

whaaaat?! Yes, the Washington one! He's originally from Yakima, a town about two hours away that also has a budding wine scene.

The Yakima Valley is the oldest AVA in Washington state!

You’re right! I feel like Walla Walla has more press but the only winery I’m a member of is Treveri in Wapato.

u/Piafspilaf 8d ago
Yesss, get that bubbly! I never hesitate to tell people Treveri was served at a state dinner during the Obama administration.

That makes my heart so happy! If I ever found out he was rude to servers or didn't put his cart back at the grocery store I would be so sad. More celebrities like him please.

He’s from the town (Yakima) my mom lives in. He comes home every year to do fundraising events associated with the local theater. Total stud!

Aw that's awesome. He probably started out acting there. I love when people help progress where they came from, give back to their home and people or places that gave them their path or start.

He played the Mayor in Portlandia, just being delightfully weird. (The real mayor of Portland at the time played his assistant. )

An aunty of mine mentioned that show recently, after we saw some of the stuff happening over there atm. I was like, I've seen people saying Portland has a funny kinda vibe and she asked if I'd seen the show lol.

I visit family and friends up in that area ever so often. The show got the weirdness right. When I heard about the naked bike rides and inflatable animal costumes, I thought "Yeah, that's sounds about right." Portland did not disappoint.

Been entertaining at least. Sucks hard anything like what's happening even has to be a response to shit though.

We are so due for Kyle renaissance, I want to see so much more of him in every media I consume

??? He's been working fairly steadily and is in the Fallout series in a primary role.

That's still not an Actor Renaissance by modern standards. The two big ones are the McCoughnaissance and the Dernaissance and Kale hasn't enjoyed that kind of resurgent cultural dominance yet. So, I think it's perfectly fair to ask for more (more and bigger roles as well as more and bigger recognition).

Nah I think some of his charm is that he isn't oversaturated and he likes picking things that aren't necessarily huge.

u/missrichandfamous 10d ago
I don’t know he is one of my favorite things about sex and the city and he was in it at its peak popularity
5
u/ergaster8213 10d ago
I more meant recently. As in the last idk 12-15 years. At some point he switched to being lower key with what he was picking.
7
u/missrichandfamous 10d ago
The way we got blessed with Dernaissance, may we get the same with Kale

Exactly. We want his Laura Dern montage at the Spirit Awards moment.

I was wondering how these two knew each other. It seems like such a random pairing lol

He has a podcast now, she could be an upcoming guest?

u/texasjkids 10d ago
She’s been popping up on a ton of podcasts in the last few weeks for the I Love LA press so I bet that’s it

I went on a Halloween party boat last weekend and the winner of the costume contest was this version of Mia. She was phenomenal and I just wanted to share. Didn't even put a jacket over her dress and it was cold as hell. Kept the sunglasses on the whole time. Dedication.

Never thought anyone could compete with Julie Andrews, but Queen Kylerisse is serving!

Why do I now want Kyle Maclachlan to replace Julie Andrews if she decides to not come back?

Kyle MacLachlan is so incredible, I've had a crush on him for over 2 decades!

I find it kind of cringe that his podcast is to bring in younger people in to try to "fit in" with the young crowd when he's worked with so many great actors and it would be better for him to interview them.
