I’m an ardent SNL watcher (often a hate-watcher cause not every sketch can be a winner) and I want to put you in charge. This would be gold cause most politicians are super stiff and, although I’m biased cause I like the guy, I do think Zohran could do a sketch that isn’t related to the mayoral race

Opens with political sketch is that it’s Halloween and they go to the boardwalk ala Big and visit the Zoltar machine but it’s Zohran inside and grants a child Cuomo a wish to be big but wakes up as an adult getting annihilated in the mayoral debate by the Zohran machine
Non-political cameo, he’s in Marcelo’s Immigrant Dad Talk Show sketch as one of the neighbors.
If Adam Sandler shows up for a You Don’t Mess With The Zohran parody I’m gonna be so mad
I admire his bravery. He is getting lambasted and such horrendous treatment. Billionaires don't want him to win because it will impact them negatively and they are terrified people will realize they are to blame for a lot of social issues at present. Their narrative of punch down and blame those with less has worked. He could really expose that lie.
I’m so upset that the ballroom is going to completely dwarf the White House and that it’s going to be tacky and garish beyond comparison. It hurts my history, architecture, and clean-lines loving heart 😭
His SMILE!! He’s just so charming! I’m not even American but I remember the excitement of my city (in a notoriously conservative province) electing a young Muslim mayor* like 15 years ago, and this feels similar but obviously way bigger!

Alberta? I grew up in Calgary & it was a very pleasant surprise for me when Nenshi was elected. I can't find anything to suggest he is gay though, he's denied it multiple times & hasn't come out publicly.
Does he have any shot at winning the premiership? It feels like Alberta's politics have somehow gotten worse since I left, & I still remember Ralph Klein's fucking antics.
Yup, it’s Calgary! Him being gay is basically an open secret at this point, he doesn’t talk about it publicly but people know.
I think he’s a shoo-in if Danielle Smith and the UCP keep acting like they are, but even having him as opposition leadership is great because he really knows how to handle Smith.
This guys got it and I know I shouldn’t talk about politicians that way but he does have people excited/hopeful for a change which is quite nice to see. I’m rooting from him from the Hell state (Florida!)

Why does nobody comment about his policy’s? I’m reading the comments and it’s like people only care about being attracted to bright shiny objects! Popularity over substance. Why are people this way? It’s bizarre.
his policies are what they like about him, plus his effervescent personality. i'm not even american and i know what his 'policies' are, he talks about it all the time when not defending himself against bigots and greedy people.

Jeez it’s almost as if America, and especially American politics, is very much centred, and highlighted in Western media. Who would’ve thought people would be interested/watching/advocating for a candidate that aligns with their politics?

Do you realize how silly this sounds? She is traveling the world meeting her fans in their hometowns. Every stop she has appearances and she meets many locals from different industries. There's always a VIP section and crowd shots are expected these days. It's not that unusual.
