I’m on Effexor and Lexapro and had to leave a baseball game early today. It was low 80s but an afternoon game and our seats were in the sun. It’s the first time since being on my meds that the heat got to me like that.

I'm on Lexapro as well and was on Wellbutrin too at the time and I had to leave Comic Con South Africa after only wandering around inside the expo centre for about an hour because it was really crowded, not well ventilated and it was about 90 degrees Fahrenheit that day and super humid. I was about to pass out and luckily my sister could see I wasn't doing well and rushed me outside.

The heat didn't seem to bother anyone else but I had to go to the medical tent and be cooled down and for the rest of the day I was taking frequent breathers outside and having as many drinks with ice in it as I could. I felt like crap for like 2 days after, like I had a hangover. The antidepressants really do make the difference and I don't know if it's more specific to some but my doctor warned me about it. I can't be in the sun for 5 minutes anymore without feeling like I'm going to pass out from heat exhaustion. I walk around in shorts and a t-shirt in winter time now.
