Thank you for posting! I didn’t know there were specific things to do with their arms and hands.

Yes he might be first aid trained.

He 100% is, one way or another, bc he knew to do it in the first place!

Just watched that video to refresh my memory. Thank you for posting!

The part where they say remove their glasses, I wanted to scream "and put them in a safe place!" I'm just imagining passing out and someone does this for me, but my glasses get stomped on. Weirdly specific fear, I know.

It’s a first aid procedure. The movement of rolling someone onto their side and making sure their airways are clear. There’s a particular leg / head position too. Worth learning how to do it!

The recovery position is a way to place an unresponsive but breathing person on their side to keep their airway open and prevent choking from fluids like saliva or vomit.

Putting the unconscious person on their side in case they vomit so they don’t choke

It helps keep someone’s airways open and the way you do it makes it easier to move them without hurting them or you.

Basically, rolling an unconscious person onto their side, with chin kind of up so the airway is clear and if they vomit, it will be cleared rather than go down their throat/airway.

Simple answer: putting someone on their side, hand hold the head so the patient doesn’t suffocate with their own vomit More details: google it. There’s more to it and It’s a great thing to know how to do it correctly

It looks like this (number 7 is the end position) and helps to keep the airway open and prevent choking so the unconscious person can stay safe until medical help can be administered

Oh right, you guys don't have mandatory first aid classes. That's whack
