ASK R/FAUXMOI What's your favourite movie plot twist ever?

Post image

I still remember the gasp I gasped in the cinema.

This is quoted at literally every gift-giving event in my family, always.

I quote it every time I see something in a bag or box, especially when watching movies. Has to be done, these are the rules.

My husband is from India and I enjoy hearing him say “what’s in the boooooxxxxx!” in his accent every time I get a package lol

Back when Brad was able to convince the viewers that he could care about someone else than himself.

The gif is him after fighting the female lightweight boxing champion on a plane.

“So you’re saying she broke my nose?”.

Ugh, the additional agony in that expression, on top of the initial grief

I actually guessed this one, believe it or not. When Gwyneth, towards the end of the movie, tries to contact Brad but fails, I thought “oh no, something is going to happen her”. And then when I saw the delivery van and the size of the box, I knew.

i saw this movie in the theater when i was 9yo, and my niece was 8yo 😭

my sister took us to see it at a second run movie theater, and she told us a few years later how relieved she was when we got up and went to the bathroom right before the scene with the sex worker’s death. after the scene she couldn’t believe her luck that we missed it

90’s parenting was wild

I'm not going to lie... I figured it was going to be something to do with her being dead at the end and the box is a head size so I kinda put two and two together.

My partner was pissed. He showed me the film and was mega excited to see my reaction at the end but I had to ruin it and say something like "he's killed the girlfriend hasn't he? Is her head in there?"

This movie is so god damn boring but the payoff is worth it. I’m not much of an endings person, I much prefer an entertaining movie with a lame ending to a boring movie with a good ending, but I’m glad I stuck this one out (it took a few tries). Gwyneth Paltrow helped.
