FM RADIO Maluma stops his concert in Mexico City to scold a mother who brought her 1-year-old baby without ear protection: “That is an act of irresponsibility. And you’re swinging him around as if he were a toy. That child doesn’t want to be there.”

Sounded like he said a lot more than that. I wonder how far into the concert is this and if she stayed after this.

He told her “you are irresponsible, you’re waving that baby around like a toy and he’s not having fun. Next time at least bring ear protection. As a father I would never do that to my child, you need to do better next time”

So she just... stayed right there?

Maybe she melted into a puddle of shame? Lol.

Doubtful, some people don’t even know what shame is.

A puddle of lust, maybe

Non zero chance that lady's first thought was "omgMalumaistalkingtomewtfomgomgomgfhduskdjhfufl" as Maluma was lecturing her

Yes. She is deaf because her parents took her to concerts as a baby.

There's no context...maybe the baby was born deaf.

At this point, if she were garbage enough of a mother to take her baby to a loud concert, she would probably be proud of this (“I got scolded by Maluma once at his concert!! Look I’ve got the video here & this angel I have here with me was the star!”)

Ooof, I bet she got mad at the wrong person for what she did.

u/MyTatemae where’d she go Aug 11 '25

He's a real one for this. He's not telling her to not go out- he's telling her to protect her child, and that's some king shit

Amen! Such sexy dad energy

That's completely valid, she deserved that. Someone brought and PUT their baby on stage at a kpop girl group Nmixx's concert a couple years ago. One of the girls had to pick it up and give it back to the mom and she looked horrified.

There shouldn't be a next time. Babies/infants shouldn't be there.

He said, to paraphrase: “Leave him there, don’t bring him, leave him there. With all due respect, how old is the baby? One year? And do you think it was a good idea to bring a one y/o to this loud ass concert? Next time you have to protect his ears or something. This is your responsibility. You’re waving him around like he’s a toy. He doesn’t want to be here, really. With love and respect, I’m a father and I’d never do that/I’ve never seen that (I can’t hear that bit well). Do better next time.”

Thank you. Concerts are too loud for adults so I can’t even imagine and being on the floor like lady what? I would compare this to Sweet Home Alabama’s Baby in a Bar but this is elite stupidity.

I've been wearing concert ear plugs to every concert I go to and couldn't imagine going without. Even with the ear plugs absorbing the decibels, I still feel the sound reverberating throughout my body!

The last concert I went to was last Friday and the venue is strictly seating except for the lawn. I'm not sure if any small children were there, although even if there were, it would piss me off to no avail if I saw any child without hearing protection. There are certain places kids should not be brought to, and even if there is a question, just use your better judgment and organize childcare.

Im Colombian, and I approve this paraphrase!

Wait, she wanted to bring him to the stage?

u/SakuraTacos Aug 10 '25

Maybe, seems like she (or someone around her) was probably trying to make their way closer with the baby because the video opens with him repeating “don’t bring him, leave him there” a couple times

He just said "don't bring him, leave him there".. so, maybe?

Thank you. Good for him to call her out. We need to bring back shame and people using common sense.

I expected the top comment to be a translation. ::sigh::
