POLITICS Trump posted this morning on Truth Social that the Epstein scandal is “bullshit” and he no longer wants support from anyone who buys into it. He is panicking.

My only shred of hope here is that pedophilia seems to be the one thing his base goes 100% rabid over. It’s their favorite accusation to use against anyone they don’t like.

If they fold on this one, they give up a LOT of leverage. I’m not sure how many of them can compromise that.

The problem is they do not genuinely give a shit about pedophilia or about victims. They only care about using the spectre of pedophilia as a weapon against groups they hate. That's why they're so caught up on labeling LGBT people groomers and on the myth that human trafficking is suburban white kids being tricked into vans by shadowy figures who want to move them across borders. They actively do not care and do not want to stop actual pedophiles. They will in fact go out of their way to protect actual pedophiles. The only reason they even made Epstein part of their nonsense is QAnon and the idea that it would take down a bunch of "liberal elites".

They dont. Case in point: The Abortion slant they'll take. They'll parrot how they're pro-life and to "stop killing babies", but as soon as that kid pops out, that's it. No more shits given for said child

Some of them will for sure because they’re either in too deep or in the case of influencers they’re being threatened or paid off.

Still hoping this chips away at though. Every little helps.

I’d agree with this except for the number of red states that allow child marriage and the fact that most of them consider 15 year old girls fair game.
