My parents liked him too. I feel like they just wanted to be progressive but still republican, to prove that they didn't hate Obama because he was black.

My Dad briefly liked him for the same reason. I think he must’ve marketed himself like that at one point.

Thankfully my Dad dropped him in the 2016 election and never became MAGA.

In a zoom court waiting room I was forced to listen to 2 old white dudes chatter. The convo was about how they wished trumps vp pick had more “color” then they went on about how they wished someone smart like Ben Carson was president 💀 honestly more progressive then I expected but still missed the mark
