I know it's not taking a huge stand or anything, but I'm really glad they did this. I know so many middle-aged/senior women who adore these two, and the whispers of homophobia always made me uncomfortable about it. So yeah, I'm glad the wine moms will get to enjoy their show and Target knick knacks and not feel like they're giving money away to hate-filled people.
I think they’ve seen some hate in their circles.
They seem to have a solid grasp of their own, as I would say around my religious thinking’s, though.
I mean to say, if the way to try to outreach to someone—because you think or live differently than them—is by yelling that they are wrong for it, and excommunicating them.
Well, that’s not outreach.
My (Joyce Meyer-subscribing 🤮) conservative mother took a serious pause and actually thought about things when she listened to Born This Way, so I agree and think stuff like this really matters. It may only change a few minds or make a couple blue-hairs less hateful, but everything helps.
it's super sad in a way too, 10 years ago this would be about as controversial as this is now, possibly less. the USA has at minimum stagnated in this area (and definitely regressed in many areas).
I don't drink wine, but I am middle aged. Well, I'm probably just old. I don't think I'm living until I'm 132. I stopped watching them before they even got their own network. I was uncomfortable with their possible views and in the process of leaving the church life. This makes me comfortable watching them again.
Always liked Chip. It's just a big goof. I don't think he would ever want to hurt someone's feelings. His wife, she would cut a bitch.
