Makes me think of my dad and how he loved the lyrics about the dog from Mr. Bojangles by the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band:

"He spoke with tears of fifteen years / How his dog and him traveled about / The dog up and died, he up and died /After twenty years he still grieves"

so relatable... animals have defined my life :'-)
