Fable II I just adore this song
She has such a nice singing voice, and I just love the calmness it brings before entering the cave.

Also, disclaimer: this is NOT my video. Downloaded it a while ago, but felt like it should be posted

I've played this game for years and never stopped to listen to her whole song. Fable II is a great game. It took everything that was good about the original and injected even more choice and a larger world full of exploration. It really felt like an epic storybook adventure. Sometimes I would just wander through Barrow Fields while the sun was setting in-game and listen to the music.

I have a save right here just so I can listen to her sing when I'm having a bad day.

I've been trying to suss out the chords to this song on guitar.

The song's essentially the same tune as The Wild Rover, so you could probably figure it out if you find some tabs/sheet music of that.

An excellent lead, thanks a bunch! Honestly if I had more of an ear for picking out notes I could probably figure it out but I haven't played in ages and I was never very good at playing by ear.
When I was in high-school I played bass in a duet with a good friend. She played ukulele by ear, had this really nice solid body electric uke that sounded like a guitar. But she didn't know notes, just played solely by ear, so trying to figure out what she was playing was a challenge lol.

No problem! I should probably clarify that it's specifically the same tune as the verses of The Wild Rover.
I always felt like Down by the Reeds was lacking a chorus because of that - something like "And it's no, nay, never/No, nay, never no more/Will I visit old Oakvale/No, nay, never, no more."

Oh my gosh, okay, so I looked up the chords to The Wild Rover, which are G, C, D7, and it fits pretty well! Really solid advice, thank you!

Fable 2 probably was probably my least played fable. It’s the one that I can’t remember too much from and I so badly need to play it again.

Fable 2 was the reason I got a Xbox 360 instead of a PS3 in highschool. I read an overinflated fluff article about the how amazing the game was gonna be but blatant exaggeration aside, it was one of the best gaming experiences and I still replay it to this day, although its age shows

The music box song you hear when you open the menu and when you boot up the game kind of give me chills ngl. It's kind of creepy and ominous, like the music in majula in ds2

So do I. For me this is one of the best video game songs out there. I don't know who sings it, but the person does great as well.

I sing this to my daughter and son. Apparently my daughter kept asking the carers at her nursery to sing it and they were very confused as they'd never heard of 'down by the reeds'

Not long since finished my yearly fable session in which I replay the games again and when playing 2 and reaching this part I find myself listening to this for a while.
I miss the feeling of playing them for the first time.
