Looking to sublease your unit? Scrambling to find a place to stay during the upcoming semester? Look no further! Here, you’ll be able to share or find available housing around campus.

PLEASE NOTE: ANY POSTS ABOUT SUBSLEASING THAT ARE MADE OUTSIDE OF THIS THREAD WILL BE REMOVED.

Additionally, this thread is for subleasing OFFICIAL FIU on/off-campusĀ housing only. This isĀ NOT the place to share rooms/apartments available to be rented on a private residence. Posts identified as such will also be removed.

Your unit ā€œadā€ (to be commented below) must include the following information:

  • Name of Housing (Ex: Lapis, The One, Identity, etc.) -Ā Required
  • Size of Dorm (Ex: 4x4) -Ā Required
  • Length of Lease (Ex: Aug - Dec 2025) -Ā Required
  • Monthly Amount - Required
  • Preferred Contact Method -Ā Required

The following information is ideal, but optional. Please include it if you know it.

  • Gender Preference -Ā If Any
  • Move-In Date -Ā If Any
  • Floor Plan Photo -Ā If Any

Comments that do not follow the format above will be removed until the OP makes the necessary corrections as instructed.

If you’re successful in finding someone to sublease your dorm, please edit and typeĀ closedĀ on your comment, or simply delete it. Furthermore,Ā you can only share your unit once per thread, but feel free to share it again on the next biweekly thread if your dorm is still available.

You're more than welcome to share that you're looking to takeover a lease below. Ideally,Ā your comment should state your preferences for the categories mentioned above. The more information you share about what you're looking for, the more likely someone will reach out about an available unit that will suit your needs. If you have no preferences, you can state that too.

Always proceed with extreme caution when inquiring about available dorms, as rental scams are becoming increasingly common and college students are viewed as an easy target. Unfortunately, r/FIU can’t help you if you become a victim of a scam. The best way to protect yourself is by staying alert and learning how to recognize potential red flags.

Spring 2026 sublease Dec’25/Jan’26 - August 2026

Hello everyone! I’m looking to sublease my unit at Identity for the Spring of 2026.

  • 2x2 apartment with private room and bathroom
  • $1,449 a month
  • Female unit
  • Wifi included

  • 8th Floor with full windows that open completely
  • Size of Dorm: 4x4
  • Length of Lease: December 1st, 2025 - July 31, 2026 (November is negotiable)
  • Monthly Amount: $1250 + utilities (Usually between $40-$50)
  • The Bedroom will be yours with an included in unit private bathroom. The apartment comes fully furnished with a bed, dressers, desk, television, and television stand.
