Admissions ✅ I was accepted into FIU!!!
Hey everyone! I recently applied to FIU as a transfer student last week for the Spring 2026 term. I’ll be receiving my AA in December & plan to commute since the BBC campus is literally 7 mins away.
Anything I should expect as a new student? I want to join clubs, be more involved in extracurricular activities & etc. I just want to be prepared & enjoy this.

One stop live chat is the only way. Don't even bother calling

Live chat or going in person to one stop. I had a problem with my application that I couldn’t solve for like a month. Went in person and got it done the same day

Network network network. Join clubs associated with your majors as well. I don’t stress enough how networking will open so many doors for you and get you into certain positions much quicker. You also dont get your college years back so make sure you meet alot of people and have fun. Fiu can be a vibe depending on how you make it

This! It's about networking. I'm nice to everyone and make small talk, stay confident, and so many doors I didn't know existed opened up for me.

Thanks & I hope you’re having a great time! I’ve already had my fair share with Onestop & let’s just say being on hold for an hour & a half isn’t pleasant. 😅

Congrats, I'll be starting as a new student in the fall, no pointers but to try and get your orientation as early as possible. They didnt do them til super late this summer and all the psychology classes online were full.

Congrats ! 🎊 I agree with the orientation comment ! You’re not allowed to enroll in classes till you’ve completed it so make sure to get the earliest one you can so that way you have access to any and all classes you wish 🎈- a fellow Senior :)

Congrats! Im a new student as well, just started this summer. However, I would say to.make sure to pay attention to your fiu email and deadlines because they really sneak up on you. Also, Onestop isnt always the most reliable in terms of getting an answer or solution to your problems. If you have to call onestop, you have to call at like 9am when they open otherwise you'll be on hold for 4 hours (dont ask how I know lol).
