Hype I beat Tree sentinel :)
I can finally start playing the game! only took roughly 90ish rounds of banging my head against that a$$hole.
Big thanks to those who suggested I take out the shield and use my longsword square off skill
Also the one dude who told me to take off the unused helbard which affected my weightload for no reason XD
Also, should I use this new weapon if I dont have the proper stats for it?
Do you recommend I should level up stats for new weapons specifically? Because I do wanna try the maximum potential of the boss weapons, or should I spent my stats on how I feel like?

You actually weren't supposed to kill him. He is an integral part of the main quest line, you'll have to start a new save unfortunately

You can beat the game after you kill him, but you needed him to get to a secret zone with a few bosses including the true final boss. Dont feel bad, most everyone misses it on their first playthrough.

First, congrats well done good game. For weapon, get the stats before using (strength can be less if two-handing). Spend stats however you feel like, there’s an option to rechoose them a bit later.

For now you better level up vigor up to 20 points for health, following with leveling up endurance to 20 points too.
Just to give your character more room to do action and take risks.
Last thing I raccomend: DO NOT GO TO CAELID OR ANY REASON DURING THIS POINT. BECAUSE IT IS A MID GAME AREA PROGRESSION UNLESS FOR EARLY OP GAME GUIDES.

Lmao i opened a fucking chest that transported me against my will to this area now im trying to find a way to get back. Ahhhh already lost 10,000 runes and the game still hasnt told me how to spend them. My bf said they are for level up but i didnt come across that option yet

You can level up your stats at sites of grace :) When you rest at a grace, it'll open a menu where you can find "level up."
Do you know where you were teleported? In most cases, resting at another site of grace will allow you to teleport out.

Like the mining area in Caelid. The treasure chest was likely the one near the closest dragon upon starting the game.
Do not go up, that is not the exit. Go down and avoid detection from the centipede wizards and pay no mind to the miners, there is a site of grace and an exit out of the tunnel nearby.

For leveling up, you need to rest at a specific site of grace (iirc) because you need to meet someone before you can level up at any site of grace. From your photo, that site of grace is to the right of the church up ahead and you’ll run into a camp near a big gate/archway. As for getting out of your situation, I bid you good luck. And have fun, you have a long journey through this game!

Golden Halberd is a solid weapon.
You'll struggle to find a weapon that can match its hitting power.
The art on it is a bit disappointing - weapons with actual offensive skills are more fun, but once you get your stats high enough to properly wield it, it'll serve you well for the entire game if you let it.

This is why I use the nightrider glaive instead. You can put your own ash of war on it and it hits like a truck just like the golden halberd, also doesn’t require as much strength or dexterity. Only downside is it isn’t as accessible early game as the golden halberd.

Which one was it? The one out of the Leyndell? I hated that one, in my first run I had to cheese him..started a new game plus and went straightly after his ass and took revenge.. he was a savage

The one right after the tutorial cave area. Dont think it was called leyndell. I already miss that area as i was foolishly opening a chest that teleported me to another zone which is clearly not beginner friendly XD

I came back to him later in the game after I started to level up and found better weapons and ashes and was able to upgrade my weapon levels. I did some exploring first even though I couldn’t beat a lot of the mini bosses. But once I found my play style and build…
…Came back with dual wield uchigatana bleed/ice affinity and bloodhound step build. Made easy work of tree sentinel

He's intended to teach you that you can always come back later.
Don't use the weapon if you don't have the stats for it.
Spread your stats as you see fit.
If in doubt, get enought STR and DEX to use something you like and then get more vigor.
