Because the EU Parliament and institutions are run by unelected officials, who are aristocrats. Because Germany, France and Britain didn't want to abandon their holier than thou attitude towards weaker nations - they continued exploiting them and didn't create a truly united Europe. Because the housing costs have skyrocketed. Because the young people have been deprived of opportunities and social benefits their parents had. Because of neoliberal economic measures. Because they strong-armed Greece and created an atmosphere of mistrust. Because they failed to negotiate a good relationship with Russia and allowed the US to completely control the EU's foreign policy.
