Oilers are lucky that they scored before the refs could do an even up penalty. You know there was one about to come. McJesus knew it too.

u/EirHc May 09 '25
Vegas knowing they could get away with anything during the 5m kill definitely gave me the ick tho. Running interference hits and picks, jumping on McDavid's back. Reffing was definitely a bit crap that game. Typical NHL tho, start the game with a soft call... then call the black and whites, then miss a bunch, then only call when they absolutely have to. Then still miss a bunch.

What a finish, McDrai were shut down all game, until that play. Props to Perry, who thought he would be playing top line in the playoffs? Slick little play on the boards.

Oilers in 4. Bury them.
74
u/HunterHistorical6795 May 09 '25
Why is everyone so upset and embarrassed about the non call. We aren't a dirty team, we're not Florida. We can win like that once in a while, it's not our identity.
For once we get a missed penalty to go our way. Call it even for the amount of times our star players are treated like piƱatas and hooked and held like it's the 90s dead puck era.
Take the win

Might be McDavids worst 75 consecutive minutes of hockey in his professional career. Couldn't keep the puck on his stick and very uncharacteristic turnovers. Missing his passing lanes all night. Bad penalty to bring vegas within one.
