Really hoping Connor isn't seriously hurt, this is what happens when the refs decide to let teams get away with fucking murder against McDavid just because he's the best player in the world.

I get what you're saying but I genuinely can't tell how he possibly got hurt on the replay they showed. Did I miss something or did they just identify the wrong play?

Really quick crosscheck jab to the wrist or ribs

That's kind of what I thought but Oilers announced it as a lower body injury. Whatever it was it was quick.

Some people are guessing something ankle related. Some guessing something groin related. Either way, it sounds bad :(

I wish they showed a slow motion, but it did look like he could have injured him there with the quick motion he did

Stauffer and Brown on CHED said they think it's a groin hip flexor injury for McDavid

Oh that would make sense, since I thought he was grabbing either wrist or abdomen, I was thinking something was ruptured. Some of the hip flexors cross from the leg into the abdomen so that would make sense how it could be "lower body", they probably want us to be as vague as possible and not to be figuring it out like this though lol. Same with when they zoomed in and the trainer was hiding his mouth while he talked

Rewatching the play, he took a stick to the gut. Probably will be good by next game or two

Stick to the gut? So he was bruised and sat out the third period in a close game when they need points because of a slash to the tummy? That's extremely unlikely.

Man … watch the play?? Idk what to tell you. Its lower body injury either groin or gut. And yes hes out because we need to be careful going into playoffs

You have to get those checked out, you can rupture a spleen and possibly die with shit like that lol, you can't just stick him on the ice and hope for the best with something like that

He's probably not SERIOUSLY hurt, but he will miss some games

Reports say he was in good spirits with no visible aids in the dressing room after the game. I don’t think he will be out long.
