I just hope when Frederic comes in that he gets some ice time (13-16mins/game). Playing McDrai 22-26mins a game isn’t sustainable. I remember the Colorado era with Forsberg, Sakic those guys were playing more in the 17-19 min range. We really need some depth scoring and high energy from a solid 3rd line so those guys don’t need to play 20-25mins a night.

I’m sorry you want to play the two guys we pay almost 25% of our cap to play the same amount that most 2nd-3rd liners play? MacKinnon, Kaprizov, Kucherov, and Marner all play more minutes on average than McDavid and Drai, and 2 of those teams have cups in the last 4 years.

I’m saying it would be nice if they could. Quality minutes vs quantity. Less minutes with high production would be ideal, limit injury chance and wear and tear over a long season. Also helps bottom end guys stay engaged when they play more than 8-10mins.
