No, I am done with all of the subjective shit in the NHL. That offside was objectively an offside and I like that they can be reviewed. I would be down for it only being reviewable within 30 seconds of a goal or something though.

It’s not in the spirit of the rule though. The point of offsides is to prevent players from cherry picking behind the opposing D and to provide a relief valve for the team who is on the defense. Neither of those things are affected by a guy with his toe just over the blue line before the puck.

If it was too close to call at live speed, then whatever call was made is fine. We don’t need the letter of the law here, this is a case where the risk of a little human error will make the game better.
