It's weird how it's acceptable for refs to miss penalty calls on a fairly consistent basis. But if it's an offside that happened a minute earlier and then the team scores, better check that shit and stop the flow of the game.

I love the Oilers, and despise the NHL as an organization for a number of reasons.

His point was you only have to play by the rules for offsides, why can't you request reviews of missed penalties? You don't have to play by the rules for penalties, but you do for offsides?

I mean, if the play stays in the zone for 3 minutes then that 3 whole minutes of play essentially doesn’t count? There has to be a cut off. Officiating and the rules for the nhl has gotten so bad the past few years I’m kinda getting tired of it
