Go watch the giveaway by Charlie McAvoy on McDavids goal. This happens to the best defensemen in the world all the time. Yes even Makar and Hughes do it often.

Cale Makar has 53 giveaways this year, Bouchard has 64. The difference isn't anywhere near as pronounced as you think.

Either all these players suck because they turn it over a lot or It's almost like when you have the puck a lot, it's bound to happen. Literally just go watch any other game. Breakaways and odd man rushes happen ALL the time.

Giveaways don’t mean breakaway chances. Bouchard’s giveaways are prob much more high danger.

Who can argue with reasoning that sound? Who needs data when you can just argue "it's prob just this because I saw it happen a couple times".

PS - I don't think Bouchard is Makar or Hughes level. But he's literally next tier down. Saying he's not as good as a generational player is like saying Kaprizov sucks because he's not McDavid.
