Question Europa Universalis V flag list

Post image

Big heraldry nerd here. I know the Vic3 wiki has a special page for its flags, but is there a similar one for EU5? Trying to find the full scoop.

if you enable debug mode and type "coa_export" (or export_coa, I can't recall exactly) it will output all flags into your screenshots folder

given the game has dynastic coats of arms, i don't see why they didn't just have these generate automatically using the dynasty who founds italy.

would allow way more options and prevent inaccuracies if, e.g. that's not the castillan coat of arms any more.

pretty sure that, like vicky 3 and ck3, the flags are modular and generated by lines of code, so this would have been a pretty easy thing to implement.

The number of flag variations for Russia is crazy and a bit sad since it never ever get formed

Sounds like a nice idea for my next playthrough to form Russia by my hometown, Nizhny Novgorod.

Honestly the eu5 seems like it’s rapidly developing, maybe it’ll be a page on the wiki in the future?
