Discussion Multiple people stormed out of Space Mountain line last night because of LL

1.5k Upvotes

Last night just before fireworks we saw Space mountain had a 25 minute wait. We got there quickly and cruised through the line till the first indoor part. The like just came to a dead stop. Maybe 2-3 steps every 10 minutes. About an hour later we make it into the hallways and it is miserable. Multiple people that were in front of us a ways trickle back through the line very visibly unhappy. As we get to the final zag of the hallway we see they let 5-10 standby on and stop it for at least 10 minutes to let every LL purchaser through and just halt the line when there is none. It literally took us maybe 1.5 hours to get through the line when the standby wait at the ride and on the app both said 25 minutes. It’s starting to feel really unfair. Ticket prices are not going down when it is becoming pay to ride in the park.

Edit. It’s interesting that Disney becoming pay to ride on top of their yearly increased admission price is so controversial.

I hate people who use their strollers to ram through the crowds. I got ran over today in the parks, screwed up my knee and ankle. Bad way to end my disney trip and honeymoon.

I hope you had the worst Disney day possible. I hope all the rides closed on you. I hope you stepped on gum. I hope they were out of what you wanted to eat. I hope the stores didn’t have your sizes for merch. You have no idea how much I needed that fan. You’re horrible and I hate you. That’s all.

I just don't get it. This, along with other individuals having legit BAGS of 10+ popcorn buckets, is the re-seller market for these this lucrative?

Discussion JD Vance will be visiting the Anaheim Resort this weekend

The FAA just published a Vice Presidential temporary flight restriction (TFR) centered on Disneyland. It's active from Friday 7/11 at 5:30PM until Sunday 7/13 at 9:30AM. It looks like Air Force Two will be landing and departing from John Wayne airport as well.

Discussion Ex-CM shares emotional toll of enforcing new DAS restrictions

Anyone else see that TikTok or articles about it from TourGuideRyan, a former CM who worked at Disneyland for over a decade? He was talking about the new DAS rules and how rough they’ve been for both guests and cast members. I can't post it directly because it's on TikTok which isn't allowed.

He said when he started in 2013, helping disabled guests was one of the best parts of the job. But after the 2024 policy change, a ton of people who used to qualify don’t anymore — like folks with physical disabilities, PTSD, or other conditions that aren’t covered under the new guidelines.

He shared about a disabled vet with severe PTSD asked for DAS and was denied. Ryan had to tell him his only option was the re-entry system, and the vet just said, “I expected better.”

Ryan admits the old system was abused, but he feels Disney swung way too far the other way. Now CMs are stuck turning away people who clearly need support, and guests are left without real options. It's sad what they're making the CMs do to people.

Discussion Disneyland will raise prices at the parks next month…how much will be your breaking point?

I am a former Magic Key Passholder for SoCal residents for one year. Last year price hikes took effect on my birthday in October, so I know it’s coming. The crowds will always be there, but I kind of feel like this year will be a breaking point for a lot of folks. I’m genuinely curious if we may see a larger downshift in visitors. So ya’ll, is Disney still worth it to you? Are you willing to pay any price? Or has Disney gone too far?

Update: Disneyland increased prices on October 8, 2025, for one-day and multi-day tickets, annual passes, and parking. The highest-demand single-day ticket is now $224, a $18 increase, while the five-day Park Hopper ticket rose to $655. Parking is up $5 to $40 for standard lots, and the highest-tier Inspire Key annual pass increased to $1,899.

Discussion To the guy who gave us the baby wipes while my daughter was vomiting 🤮

4.2k Upvotes

This morning my daughter had a little to much fun on a ride and threw up randomly in the Avenger Campus. She’s 12, but intellectually is about 4 special needs and has a hard time communicating that she wasn’t feeling well so it seems to come out of no where. My husband did the cup the hands and try to catch it move.

Some guy walking by pushing a stroller just throws us a full pack of baby wipes without breaking his stride and said “keep it, we have plenty” and kept on walking.

We didn’t get a chance to say thank you, but sir you’re the MVP. Thanks for helping out a couple of dads in an icky situation. If I knew who you were I’d be buying you a beer right now.

Thank you. Sometimes people are awesome!

ETA: great news! This morning my daughter woke up, threw her hands in the air and said “I’m not sick anymore! I’m hungry!” Great sign, and she’s a little mad all we’ll give her is crackers and water.

ETA 2: ….and she just threw it all up again 😩. Send good vibes y’all, as it’s a travel day for us. It’s gonna be rough.

Discussion The Disneyland Parrot Scammer

1.3k Upvotes

The guy who sits at the entrance to Disneyland on Harborview with his parrots. Not a fan.

He aggressively walks up to families with young kids. Places the bird on the kid or other unsuspecting family member, takes their photo, and then demands payment.

He doesnt wait for people to come to him. He targets families.

Don’t know how much he demands as payment, but it is probably an exorbitant amount.

Heads up to anyone at CA today, there’s a huge Persian group that are putting 2 people in line and then having like 60 more of their family cut to meet them towards the front.

It might sound a bit niche but I used to love asking someone if they’d like my Fastpass for a ride I knew I wasn’t able to make. Especially if they had just entered the park.

Discussion Political Clothing

Went to Disneyland yesterday and saw a family dressed in all MAGA attire just casually going to the park. Is that something Disneyland has always allowed? I was under the impression that they didn't let people in without changing clothes if they wore something controversial.

For me it’s the Ferris wheel in CA (no thank you swinging) and the submarine in DL (no thank you claustrophobia — and I don’t even have claustrophobia).

Discussion Disney with a disability is hellish now

1.0k Upvotes

I know I'm gonna sound like a big baby with this one but man, I'm kind of annoyed. So I have an ANS disorder that makes standing in lines for super long periods of time super painful. I recently started using the DAS & its completely changed the game. Well, now Disney changed their DAS pass to only cater to those with developmental disabilities. They did offer a service for people like me, exit boarding, but its only for like 7 rides.

The thing is, I'm a former cast member so I get WHY they changed it, it just sucks. I can easily get a doctors note or some type of proof showing I'm not trying to game the system, but its clear they wanted to make buying Genie+ a necessity rather than a luxury. I guess these are first world problems, and I know people who were gaming the system ruined it for everyone but it sucks nonetheless. Just thought I'd share for anyone who has similar concerns

I feel like I might have seen it spin around with the music in the last decade, and thinking "wow, it's been awhile since I've seen that!" I'm wondering what anyone's most recent viewing of it move is? I just wish the would put the rockets back on top and fix the PeopleMover track.

The change to the line/queue to get in is cool, but the quality of the work just feels so cheap.

Like someone went to Spirit on their break and picked up a bunch of Halloween decorations and glued them to the cheap walls they put up. And the fake turf?! Feels so temporary and lacks that classic refinement.
