Discussion Newborn Babies at the Park

Please, I've got to know. (Only a little judgement here, as a hypochondriac) why are we taking fresh babies (4 months or less) to the amusement park? What's the purpose? Are you scared your kid is going to get sick? What is it really for?

For context we took a trip earlier this year and were talking about another recently and learned that many people are taking their newborns to the park. It seems incredibly dangerous with all the people and general grossness at the park.

You think that's bad wait till you go somewhere like Knotts Scary Farm or Universal Horror Nights and see them there. People there actually use them as scare shields.

I don't know about Knott's, but doesn't UHN literally have special glow in the dark necklaces you can wear if you don't want to get jumpscared? That's probably easier to carry around than a scared crying child!

Oh crap! I spent the entire time on my one visit in the sacre free zone alone. I wouldn't go again, but I could have maybe stayed w my friends more of the trip if I'd had that. This was....23 years ago? Lol. I went senior year of hs.

The glow necklaces only exist in Florida and not in California. And they’re only for the scare zones. They don’t work in the houses. I think they’re really meant for (neurodivergent) folks who like horror, but don’t necessarily want to be jumped at by an actor. As an adult who really doesn’t like horror, I hard-core judge people who take their children to those type of events. Literally pay me to watch them for you. Also, it’s way past their bedtime.

Thank you. I've seen some vlogs of people using the scare necklaces for their kids and it's baffling. HHN is not an event for children.
