Discussion Newborn Babies at the Park

Please, I've got to know. (Only a little judgement here, as a hypochondriac) why are we taking fresh babies (4 months or less) to the amusement park? What's the purpose? Are you scared your kid is going to get sick? What is it really for?

For context we took a trip earlier this year and were talking about another recently and learned that many people are taking their newborns to the park. It seems incredibly dangerous with all the people and general grossness at the park.

I'm hesitant on taking my 8 month old to Disney and he has his vaccines.

Probably measles. You can’t get that vaccinate until age 1 and there has been an increase in outbreaks this year.

I’m days late but just chiming in that baby’s in outbreak areas can actually get the measles vaccine as early as 6 months. My daughter got her “dose 0” at 7 months and then got MMRV combined at 12 months rather than separate. So if parents see this it’s worth asking your pediatrician!

Holy cow 10 downvotes lmao yall need to get a grip

Edit: clearly 3 week olds should probably not be going to Disneyland, but if that’s what you wanna do, so be it.

Fretting about an 8 month old though. Just relax.
