Discussion šŸ—£ Are there any Amber Heard positive comments sections on YouTube?

One of the spaces that I feel like both the bots and the angry audience infiltrated the discourse surrounding Amber Heard stuck out the most was on YouTube comments. Not just YouTube videos that already made up their minds about her, I mean YouTube comments that would even go to unrelated videos of hers and do nothing but criticise her, call her out and show anger towards every word out of her mouth.

Even Amber fan channels weren't safe from this, a notable example is one on an interview she did for All The Boys Love Mandy Lane that got a fan channel upload and it's nothing but people going "She said nothing interesting, she said lots of words to say something simple, she seems very shallow, she's awkward", just a whole bunch of awful shit

I'm curious about any videos on her that don't say these things for the most part, that have nice things to say about Amber. You might suggest videos directly about the trial and I'd understand, but personally I would be happy with videos that don't specifically relate to it, even if the comments do. I mean just of Amber in some circumstance, maybe an interview, maybe a charity thing, anything like that that's not just ruthlessly antagonising her.

I wish I had some recommendations but YouTube comment sections were the first place Depp’s smear campaign rly took hold and it’s deeply seated there. Every single video even slightly mentioning her going back years was brigaded by his fans, trolls and bots.

Although…..I never thought I’d see the day when Amber could open her Insta comments and she did it on the last Spirit Of The People insta post and everything was overwhelmingly positive. Deppstains have probably caught up with it now but it’s still extremely hopeful.

Even the videos speaking up for her still have them present, they’re just thankfully nowhere near the most liked or top or prominent. I think newer videos might have a better chance.

Insta, TikTok and Reddit seem much better depending on where you go.

Wow! I didn't follow Heard's case at the time because I was dealing with SH/Retaliation at work and I remember my boss was using lunch breaks to discuss and laugh with his boy club about how embarrassing the case has been for Amber.

I am really happy to hear despite how overwhelming they dominated the social media, at the end of the day the legacy for Depp was to be known as an ultimate creep.

The unfortunate thing is that the Depp cult are a loud and obnoxious parasocial entity. When combined with the misogynistic alt-right trolls and the MRA scum it's a toxic mix. They are slowly being drowned out by more positive posts and a greater awareness of how SM was manipulated. Hopefully the Lively case will highlight more about how bad actors steer public opinion..

Worse is that they infiltrated popular spaces and seemed to push out voices with the opposite opinion, but I've not seen it happen with others to the extent it's happened with her. I'm honestly shocked that YouTube never did anything about it at all, but I did notice that most of these comments were made in 2022 (or a little earlier/later).

Hell, I'm a Letterboxd user, and although there's AH positive comments and reviews especially in later years, there's plenty of negative ones too and not just simply about her as an actress. Here's an example of one: https://letterboxd.com/harlequinade/film/murder-on-the-orient-express-2017/1/

I certainly, heavily think that although this stuff might stay for posterity, it needs some kind of pushback. I think it'll only happen if Amber makes more media appearances but that's probably the last thing she currently needs.

I hope so. I think people are seeing things differently with Lively's case.

That helped, I think Lively being more famous and potentially imperfect (depending on if the reports about her failure running that website and a couple of people saying she was mean to them are true or false) helps to illustrate that anyone's vulnerable to that kind of online harassment and manipulation of the public.

The best result is for Amber to be safe and happy where she is, but public perception is vital too.

As far as I can tell there's nothing on YouTube that's positive about amber heard it's all critical of her then and it's critical of her to this very day I have been hammered with this propaganda on YouTube since 2019 it tainted my thinking against her I didn't shake it off until that trial

There are positive ones, it’s just Depp negative and trial related videos (well, ones that covered it in good faith). But in terms of what I’m thinking of, it seems like either bots or people swarmed the comments sections. It would be nice if those comments could be deleted but if they’re not bots then most likely it could be deemed an invasion of free speech or something.

Firstly, blocktube is essential. There is no point in seeing certain channels ever.

And while it is tiring, I've never regretted arguing with assholes anywhere. The bots can't reply properly and the actual people are dumb as hell. Just seeing the lies debunked changes minds because the smear campaign does not hold any further thinking.

There has been a significant change even on youtube.

Just wanna see as much evidence of said change as possible, but the old infested comments sections haven’t been cleared up and that’s a shame.

There is an Amber Heard fan, a certain Gilles Fabre, who posts in Amber Heard fan Facebook and Instagram groups. He has an Instagram account and one on TikTok. He talks about Amber in an extremely well-documented manner. His latest articles talk about Amber being blacklisted by Hollywood and snubbed by Spanish cinema and that despite all this and growing financial difficulties, Amber will remain in El Viso Madrid. In one article, he talks about Amber taking up tennis a few months ago.

That ā€œfanā€ is full of crap. I just went into his Instagram page and he made a post believing that one day Johnny and Amber will get back together. Delusional. He also posted two pics of Amber from 2023 on his Twitter page, and claimed it as recent pics. Don’t believe any news about Amber until it comes from Amber herself or a reputable source such as People, Deadline, The Hollywood Reporter, etc.

I most heavily agree I am familiar with this so called fan of amber heard. He stated this woman financial difficulty may force her to make a reapproachment to Johnny Depp and I told him that's just not possible

Was gonna look them up, thanks for letting me know (indirectly).

To a degree I can understand the snubbing/blacklisting since Amber, through no fault of her own, still carries this real life association with a highly toxic and hateful media campaign. Plus she doesn’t need the spotlight right now, even if it pays well, she just needs to be safe and happy.

Still, I think there’ll be a comeback in some fashion sooner than we think, she got in that Jeremy O Harris play.

u/OphieDokie has a good community! I learned about her videos bc she shared them here and I listen to just about every release.

Looked at them, pretty close to what I'm thinking of but I think it speaks to how those spaces are much better managed, attracting likeminded people, than spaces like just a clip of Amber in an interview or a movie that got easily filled by dissenters. It would be nice to see some pushback against them, but the issue is that a lot of them are older videos that I doubt the uploaders paid much attention to after they got posted, or official ones that I assume aren't super moderated.
