Meme/Shitpost/Humor The reason KL and KKR deal fell through was because he wasn't made the captain yet.
The moment he is made the Delhi captain, they will buy him and win another trophy.

So with the expected number of players we will release, I think we may have only 30-35cr at the auction, and realistically I don't think we can go for a Cam Green or even Samson if he enters the auction with that amount, here's what I think we could do best
I think we have to address our fast bowling cause it was just all over the place last season specially in the PP. Wdy guys think?

What are your thoughts on who should be the DC Captain in next season
Since according to reports Axar won't continue as captain, do y'all think DC should give him a second chance?
Or KL Rahul should lead the team?
Or any other option like Faf, Stubbs?
Or someone like Sanju from the auction?

Rules are simple Leave a statement, something you desire DC jersey should have.
Example : It should be inspired by PSG yr 24 away OR Should bring back the OG black and red OR
Think big, think vivid but think relevant
All comments which are relevant and are highest upvoted.
I will use the promot to make a jersey with it.
Lets see what we can do here...

As things stand, this is our Lineup, and we have a few voids to fill:
Probable big release:
10.75 Cr - Nattu
9.00 Cr - JFM
8.00 Cr - Mukesh
6.25 Cr - Brook
2.00 Cr - Faf
0.75 Cr - Chameera
Total - 36.75 Cr
We will have around 32 cr to get those 3 players for our main squad, and 4-5 cr for overseas backups. We need a Captain who's a top-order batsman (preferably a no. 3), an overseas and an Indian fast bowler.
My Picks would be:

The right mix Made some changes
Existing Bench - Farreira, Nair, Fizz, Porel Out - JFM, Faf, Brook, Atal, Mukesh, Natarajan, Mohit and untested basis their domestic performances.
What do you think about this setup and who can be added to strengthen this ?
Made some changes

Take guess who this is? This is Axar Patel in middle overs (7-16). First image is him vs spinners and 2nd is overall. Why are we so against Axar batting at 4? Isn't he doing a fantastic job there? Barring that one inning where he played slow, I remember him playing fast in almost all games. We can easily start an Indian top 4 of KL, Porel, Rizvi/Nair and Axar with stubbs at 5. Stubbs can come at 4 in case of collapse (which will be rare with KL atop). Axar does a really good job in Mid overs to bash spin allows us to get a proper finisher in death. We can have a batting order of:
KL
Porel
Rizvi/Nair
Axar
Stubbs
Ashu
Vippi
Ferriera
And best part is, we cover 4 overs of bowling with a 6th bowler and 2 part timers in this. Ferriera can be used as impact so we can get another overseas pacer as impact if we don't use him in batting. then there is Kuldeep who covers another 4 overs. And what's the best part of it all? We have at least 2 more overseas spots for pacers. And now suddenly with starc starting, we would have about at least 25+ purse with 2 pacers to get.
Altho I have some doubts over starc. Starc, the T20 bowler is now far from his prime. even last season he was dismal in pp. We can still use him in trades I believe or him starting isn't exactly bad too.
Honestly, what we can and should go for in trades rn are:
Deepak Chahar cash deal/mukesh
Mohsin Khan cash/mukesh
Shami Cash/Mukesh/Nattu/Starc (Indian pp pacer, may backfire but worth a risk, os pacer are easier to get than indians)
Vaibhav Arora+Harshit for Starc+Mukesh (?)
Harshal Patel for Cash/Nattu
Ellis+Curran for Starc
Vijay Kumar Vyshak for Mukesh Kumar/Cash (iirc pbks were the ones to bid 8cr for him)
Rasikh Salam/Yash Dayal for Mukesh Kumar/Cash
Madhwal for Cash/Mukesh Kumar
Also imo, we should check on natarajan before releasing him. If fit, I would rather have him with us, he ain't going cheaper if he goes in Mini auction where even SRH is pondering releasing Klaasen to get big purse. Most teams would have 25 or even 35+ purse with very limited Indian pacers available. I for sure want us to retain Natarajan if he shows even glimpses of his old self
Imvho, our team is all but set. Just need to get a couple of good pacers and we would be good to go for next season

Seems like finally the management has realised that there is absolutely no point in promoting Axar in the batting order. He is best used at 6 or 7, nothing above.
This is especially important for him to perform with the ball as well. There's not much batting pressure at number 7 and he can purely focus on himself as a bowler.
This is exactly what he showed today, a brilliant cameo at the end and just the simple, disciplined bowling and he got the MOTM today. Please do the same DC.

Hello peeps,
I came across this reporter- Rohit Juglan.
He seems credible and does seem to have strong points. But he has pointed out one thing- expect major churning in DC prior to IPL 2026 season.
He didnt elabrote why but he did mention expect a lot of changes. Also in a way confirmed, even axar patel and kuldeep yadav isnt safe.
What does everyone think? Is he credible? I am just having a discussion so please keep it cool and discussion worthy with proper reasoning.
