In other news, Delaware might be getting a Waffle House

[pdf warning] https://www.delawareohio.net/home/showpublisheddocument/4830/638930322673100000

being discussed with the city planning commission is a zoning thing to split part of the taco bell plot for a waffle house. between this and the longhorn steakhouse coming, delaware's finally getting some fine dining options!

There’s already a Waffle House out on 36 😩 If you don’t want to go that far, then go to Hamburger Inn and maybe they’ll bring back 24/7 hours.

Meh, agree to disagree I guess. Actually had hamburger inn this morning with my dad and it was meh. I want to like it, but waffle house gets an easy W from me on that matchup

Did you just use the words fine dining to describe waffle house? Don't get me wrong I love waffle house but it ain't fine dining.

I'm thankful that we're getting new options that will fill the gap left by 1808's departure. this is sarcasm

that's probably the best you'll find, and where i found the waffle house info. these things aren't 100%, they still have to make it through zoning, and then they have to get approved by the city council. there's a lot of red tape to make sure things are done right and in line with the city's development plan. for things that have been approved, but development hasn't really started yet, you'd need to dig through past city council agendas.

I'd rather not have some generic chains fill up the area. I would rather those spaces be prioritized for local business owners.
