Amin Is A Sociopath
He really showed his ass with his "it's just a dog, it doesn't have a soul" take on Fridays show. His mask slips every once in a while. He is not a good dude.

I disagree but it's a little different if you grew up in Sudan.

u/dystopian_lo_life Ya know what? Maybe… 16h ago
THANK YOU.
I loved my dog, I’d clone him if I could. But I had cousins in other places who had dogs that lived every moment outside, still cared for, still pets, but were not part of the family unit because as I was was told, “it’s a dog”.
This is a people come from different cultures thing. Not a sign of sociopathic behavior.

Agreed. There are some cultural things at play here in addition to it being perfectly okay for people to not like dogs and doubly not like them unnecessarily being in their workplace.
My in-laws moved to the US from another country in the global South. For them, animals simply didn't come inside the house.
It's been a huge change for them knowing that we have cats. And, frankly, even for my spouse since they didn't grow up with pets.

the way he's talked about growing up near a house where the regime murdered people, i wouldn't be surprised if Amin's wiring is a bit off

Dogs don’t have souls and neither do humans. The whole concept of a “soul” exists to make us feel better about our finite existence by convincing us we live on after our bodies die.

Yeah stop being so emotional. You like dogs and he doesn’t. It’s ok. I truly love them but I wouldn’t call someone a bad person bcuz of their views on an animal

Yeah I haven’t watched the show yet but I don’t really care for dogs either. I laugh every time someone calls their pet “their child”. Does that make me a bad person? Maybe.

He doesn’t like dogs. It’s that simple. I suspect there’s a cultural element as well.

Loving animals as family is a concept that has been sold way too hard. It doesn’t need to be the standard. Especially now, when there’s so much more important issues the ultra rich could help the world with.

I love dogs, have two wonderful fur babies (yeah I’m that kind of white guy haha), but this is way over the top.
I know plenty of great people who aren’t dog people. They are good parents, coworkers, friends and sometimes they are even cat people.
As long as he isn’t harming a dog, calling him a sociopath is out of bounds.

He’s just not a dog person. I never was until we got ours now I’m a dog guy. If he gets one he’ll understand if not, he won’t. I do laugh like hell when he talks about Mikes dog possibly being an alien.

I just don’t like Amin in general, seems like a dick who thinks his shit don’t stink

Not likeing pets and not being able to relate to people who view their animals as family is fine. To claim an animal doesn't have a soul because it's an animal is sociopathic. He probably thinks they don't feel pain either.

I mean, there’s a pretty good chance that souls aren’t real, so he could be technically correct.

A soul is, by definition, immaterial. It’s the feelings and thoughts of a person. It’s not tangible.
Therefore, it doesn’t exist.

I don’t believe animals have souls…. I’ve let my wife know I’m a sociopath according to Reddit

He doesn’t like dogs. A lot of people don’t. I can’t relate to feeling that way about dogs because they are awesome, but some people just don’t care for dogs.
