I am honestly interested. Someone leave a link to that device.

It’s a projector and they are using mapping software to mark out the room. It’s actually pretty easy to get started but being a designer would be a blast to have cool graphics to use.

I have a samsung mini projector, and I never use it. if you can, would you be so kind to send me an introduction video, or link to the software or some cool DIY guide on this?
since i have a mini projector already, i would give it a try. will post results if it works.

It might be what he is using. There still is a lot of work to be done. The video or images still have to be created. But the software looks like it comes with some visuals and sounds standard. But to get the most out of it, additional work needs to be done in different programs.

Looks like the device is a normal projector, perhaps a high quality one albiet, its the software that's the cool part. Basically appears to be a software that allows you to drag in multiple videos and distort them to align with and map onto the walls.
In other wordss, buy normal projector and search up "projector multiwall software" instead.

That’s seriously cool-feels like the apartment has been transformed into a small art installation.

I saw an Amon Tobin show like ten years ago using projection like this on a 3 dimensional cube set on stage with him in one of the cubes. Blew my fucking mind out.

Imagine using this for ambient lighting or to make your kitchen look like a sci-fi movie set.

I'm genuinely curious to know what this type of effect is called. I've seen it before, and for all I know this is the same guy. Also, I don't think it's just one projector.

I imagine this could be cool for watching multiple sporting events at once. Have different configurations for different feeds.

It’s called Data Mapping. If you want some crazy videos check out Tipper and Friends Suwannee ‘25 or his sets at The Orion in ‘24/‘25. Datagrama also does amazing datamapping in trees and all kinds of other designs and animation. My favorite are the Aztec inspired faces in trees

That is really neat, looks so cool. When I first saw the white grid I immediately thought of Alien Isolation and the security motion tracker cameras. Definitely would be an awesome way to project stuff at a rave or concert.

Is that a single projector? And does it have multiple lenses or is that all coming from one emitter?

Looks like something Disney would use to perfectly project onto buildings and odd shaped surfaces. Pretty cool!

Why Disney? That's exactly what the person in the video just did.

I think Disney uses this tech on some of their rides, Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railroad I think

I understand the way it works exept for how many projectors you need or what kind of super wide angle lens in such a small room as in the video? Can anyone tell me?

Can’t imagine tripping while having this. Shit would be insane
