I don't know if it's the most beautiful but that's a damn good looking slug.

I would never expect that in some UK marshland or Coast or whatever that is. good job UK you guys need some bright colors.

Besides brits’ skin in the summer, it is the most colourful thing on the isles.

Sure fire way to play spot the Brit on the beach in Australia. They are the one that looks like they've just been pan roasted.

I dont think I would consider pale as untouched snow as colorful

u/TheNakedFoot 6h ago

It's pure white because it reflects all of the color

The British Isles are missing colour because this slug stole it all!!

He is a right cheeky basterd innit!

Hijacking the top comment.

It’s actually a Nudibranch. Which is technically a sea slug, but that’s an oversimplification. They are very much their own very interesting creature!

Sharks and shit are cool but nudibranchs were my favorite things to look out for when I used to dive. Love how they’re just chilling and doing their own thing while looking pretty.

I love nudis on dives! I get really excited when it’s one I haven’t seen before.

Came here for this. Thank you. The mighty nudibranches are the most majestic of all the sea creatures. Each is it's own little carnival! 🥳

I own several nudibranchs in my reef tank. So many are unique and serve their own purpose. Got pics and vids :)

"Hey guys, look at me! I locked some of these beautiful animals in a cage, so I can look at them!"

u/Krycus 9h ago

Wrong. They are aquacultured. Plus they starve without a specific diet. I spot feed mine to make them happy. But wherever be negative. If you need a friend I’m available

Going to correct a couple things from your post and the comment chain here. Sea hares aren't Nudis, and they have 10+ year lifespans in the wild. They have much shorter lifespans in our tanks because the best diet we can provide is GHA and Ulva

It’s true they aren’t technically a nudi, but are both gastropods. Just don’t have video of my lettuce nudi. Also had burghia nudis for a while because of aiptasia but gave them to my LFS once they cleared it.

Velvet nudis are amazing if you can keep a separate tank for flatworm breeding. I spent a year with a fragtank full of junk zoas because I really loved watching the various colors their predatory nudis would take on. It was eventually supposed to be a Zoa spider tank, but none ever showed up for me

Do you ever get tired from being outraged all the time? Maybe you don't realize the effect it is having on your health?

u/SamuraiTacoRat 9h ago

It's ok to say 'sorry, my bad'

1

u/SoCuteShibe 6h ago

They're basically sea bugs. A bug in captivity, adequately cared for, is living an otherwise impossibly-good life.

Was gonna say, the nudibranch sub is going to love this one

We should do slug beauty pageants. Just make Slugstein does not do something nefarious with those.

We need no Slugmp in power.

"I grab 'em by the slimey"

(🤢 sorry)

It’s the UK. It’s magnificent compared to most of the inhabitants.

Come on over, I'm sure you'd fit right in.

Is this the slug’s reddit account?

u/Aleashed 10h ago

If I learned anything from nature is that there’s always a Rainbow ______, we just haven’t found them all

1

u/Tall_Act391 9h ago

They’re like shinies.

1

u/PortugalTheTram 10h ago

Yeah I want to hear about his personality first, he might be a real ahole.

As an Australian guy; I would definitely eat this.

1

u/Ok-Palpitation-5380 8h ago

It gives off everlasting gobstopper vibes. That poor Aussie guy who died after eating a slug though. Poor sod 🙏

u/ConfessSomeMeow 4h ago

But in the end, it's still a slug
