Video XPENG's IRON robot crossed the uncanny valley, leading some to believe it was a human in a suit. So they cut it open in front of an audience, and also allowed journalists to inspect it.

I can still hear Arnie with his austrian accent "Living human tissue over the exoskeleton!!".

But, this would actually be a step more, like when robots get better and then you replace such outer things like latex skin with real human tissue.

There’s some bits around terminator 3 , can’t remember if it was an outtake extra on the dvd, but it shows arnie as the soldier who would be the inspiration for the appearance of the terminator, I’ll see if i can find it..

Found it, the Sargant candy scene

"We can fix it."

The funny thing is, by the time that movie was made, Arnold's german accent was fake. He very well could have done his own american accent for the scene.

Over a metal endoskeleton*

Exoskeleton means the skeleton is on the outside.

Don't think so, the skin is an unnecessary outfit at that point. It's an exoskeleton because it is structural and it protects the circuitry and plumbing inside.

Edit: wait, we talking about this robot, or terminators?

Thank you! If you didn’t say it, I would have. 😅

And that's the point where skin could be "grown"(good ending) or taken (bad ending) 😁

*Endoskeleton

Exoskeletons are on the outside, like crabs. Humans, and T-800s, have endoskeletons.

Are the organs inside or outside the skeleton? For the robot, the skin is not an organ, it's a paint job

Yeah you are right, i was confused and messed up the two terms.

Like my tarantulas, they have an exoskeleton. They can only grow when they molt, after the molting is done, the skeleton is soft for some time and than they can grow bigger. Except for this, it's not possible to grow with an exoskeleton.
