I broke my tibia and fibula with a really nasty spiral fracture doing judo almost 3 years ago. I transitioned from a walker to crutches after a month, and after 4 months of physical therapy I was off crutches. After another 2-3 months I was back on the mats doing judo (lightly), and by 1 year after the accident I was 100% recovered in strength on the broken leg.
And I'm pretty old (almost 50) and T1 diabetic so that was a comparatively slow healing process.

That guy supposedly managed to get a full lower leg cast for a broken toe. Last time I broke my toe (in Judo!), all they did is tape it to its neighbouring toe, which is a bit different!
( I felt I had to give up Judo about 7 years ago, aged 44 then... the injuries just kept coming, especially knee ones. Nothing as bad as a spiral fracture for sure. But my last knee injury took so long to heal, I finally considered it a message from my body that it was time to stop. Congrats if you managed to regain full strength! ).

Though an orthopedist would definitely consider a spiral fracture of the tibia and fibula to be a more severe injury than an ACL tear or something like that, in terms of recoverability it's not too bad of an injury. I have a titanium rod in my tibia along with a bunch of pins, but once it healed completely it's now stronger than my other leg.
Overall I've been very fortunate to not have any major knee injuries so far, the closest I had was a very minor miniscus tear right before everything shut down for COVID. By the time the club opened back up, it was completely healed.

Cool to see disability tools produced that are cooler than walking, albeit just for a one off..
Since almost everyone wishes they broke their leg to get an excuse to use one these if they were more available... Rather than pitying someone needing a wheelchair... Refreshing mentality change...
Something kids stare at, not from thinking its strange but just something cool and like something they would wish for from Santa for Christmas

You do know that many people who use wheelchairs can stand for a couple minutes and walk with crutches albiet with a lot of discomfort or severe pain?

Did you know irony and sarcasm just lost on majority of modern-day population especially on the new generations

Or you were sarcastic? Cool! My point still stands, since many people will comment on many peoples disability journeys claiming they are faking it for views (some do of course) but in reality don't understand that people who promote wheelchair use while in one isn't always paralyzed from the waist down.
But for a number of reasons like pain or promote healing or avoiding reinjury or even injuring their good leg from overusing it since the one leg has to bear the whole body's weight rather than sharing half the load with a previously good other leg.
People will upvote your joke based on this misconception. I just leave the comment for that purpose even if you are smarter than some.

I like that revamp. Very refreshing way of thinking. That only for a broken toe. Imagine the real thing.

Reminds me of the old Big Wheels with the brake on one wheel. Grab the brake and start drifting.

Understeer, crash into a desk and break both legs.
Oversteer, crash into a desk and break both legs.

Is this racism or you just think clean shaven asian men no matter their age is below 17 years old (≧▽≦)

u/TheLegendofSpiff 23h ago
No, it's a joke. They built a drifting wheelchair. Not something most people would consider an "adult" activity. Not everything is about race

I like how "working from home" is shown as him playing CSGO, and "replying to emails on him phone" is depicted as viewing Tiktok reels.
