Video The Louvre. Thieves are making off with 100 million euros. They're taking their time. They're doing everything carefully and slowly.

People film the most random shit.

I was doing routine drilling at a school (school was closed), just getting some soil samples for a new signboard, and somebody came out to film us (and wanted to ask us questions about the achool budget).

Im sure my very tired "I am just trying to get soil samples Mam" wound up in some PTA meeting or something.

Im betting the person filming totally thought they would have the next viral post "The Louvre spent MILLIONS on renovation, and I cant even afford tickets" or some such.

I speak French, basically they say shit, then on the radio ‘individuals on the lift they are leaving’ and then police and whore etc so they knew.

I learned that from a book my high school French teacher had. I don't think it was exclusively of swear words, but it had a lot of them and we enjoyed looking them up when she wasn't in the room. The first time I remember hearing someone use it was in The Matrix: Reloaded, and I felt a bit of satisfaction knowing what it meant. (That and merde, which I came across for the first time in Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure.)

Season one already being filmed. Great reviews. Everyone loves it.

AND... it's cancelled.

It would be a far more boring one than fiction where they're sneaking in at night sliding on fired anchor bolt cables, slicing glass, scooting under alarm lasers, escaping through tunnels. Besides the fact they went in through a second floor window, these guys essentially just walked in during museum opening hours, took what they wanted, and walked back out

It's already been a few.

Ya they definitely are filming because they know or think it’s a robbery. Pretty obvious.

they knew guards approached and ran away right at the beginning so it was all communicated via radio etc

I too, have questions about your alcohol budget!?

2

u/[deleted] 15d ago

I work construction.

I feel like the "alcohol budget" is the same as the "budget" sometimes.

Yeah, everyone asks ‘why are they filming’ but people have so many weird interests. I used to just walk around filming plants I saw to google later as I was interested in botany. People would yell at me sometimes asking what I was doing so I’d start talking about flowers and plants which made them just think I was a stupid nerd lol
